Busy busy day. Picked up pups sent in from Jeannine Faulkner, saved from a village roundup, and took Betsy and Emma to meet potential adopters. Trying to see how Betsy would do around the resident cat. While there, Joy, one of the newly arrived, worked her way into Christine Adams heart. ♥️ At least for an overnight stay. Miss Joy, Betsy and others will be at PetSmart Dimond from 3 to 6 pm Saturday - pop up adoption clinic because we have so many dogs needing homes. 🏡 If you are looking to adopt or foster please come by‼️ We need foster homes for the pups that just arrived and for those that don’t have adopters from the fair. 🎡

📣FOSTERS⁉️ADOPTERS⁉️These are just a 1/3 of the 15 Pilot Jeannine (J9 I refer to her as often) stuffed into her small airplane yesterday to save from a village roundup and culling. She picked up 12 earlier in the week same village. Two sweet fosters who we showed photos of came in and off to foster homes. 🏡 Very sweet souls who are getting a second chance. 🐾 Do you have room to foster a few of these? Or others that could come next week⁉️ Other animal welfare groups are taking some too so if you are not fostering for us, check their pages too. ❣️PREFER SENIORS⁉️ We have them too‼️ Amazing retired canine athletes from Alaska’s Racing trails ready to cuddle with you after a nice hike or walk🐶 Let us Match you up‼️🐾♥️

🤗”Happy” is giving me (resident Dog Lady) the side eye in case I come after him with the brush again. Happy says, “Feels good but yet makes me all tingly, tickley when she brushes the sides of my stomach and I can’t stay still. I gotta get frisky and dance around.” 🤷🏻‍♀️ This senior fellow came to us from the streets of Anchorage where he was trotting down the median with good sled dog form too. He’s a retired sled dog but no one came forward to claim him and not originally an Aug Dog, 🐶 But he is now‼️ He’s spry and happy 😃 which is why we are calling him “Happy.” Available for adoption: approx age 8 to 11? Neutered and housebroken, although he enjoys lounging with friends in the side fenced yard.

Betsy - estimated 3 to 5 years from Diomede. This “big boned” gal thinks she’s a lap dog. Her buddy Silvia has been adopted. Betsy is hanging at the Aug HQ hoping for her furever people. She is housebroken and spayed.

📣 FUNDS NEEDED‼️Our💲💲reserves are depleted and we need to pay some of the bills listed below by the end of next week. Dog Lady’s credit cards 💳 are getting maxed sooner than adoption fees are able to reimburse. 🏦If you are able to help 🙏⁉️ We greatly appreciate it 🫶 🐾♥️

🏥$2500 Patterson veterinary medicine invoice for our recent 8/10 to 8/15 spay/neuter clinic.

🏥$700 Dr. Olsen invoices for spay/neuter and bulk vaccines for moms and puppies The August Fund in Fairbanks

🏥$600 to order 50 more (2 trays) of DAPP puppy vaccines for here. Takes 3 per dog for full protection.

🏥$500 plus to do a skin scraping and meds on a senior forever foster who may have developed an autoimmune disorder (photo in comments of Cobra at our neighbor Sherri who has been caring for her a and a couple other odd balls that were too skittish/quirky)

🏥$1000 Spay/return mom, plus 2 others at a locall vet(s) who didn’t make it in time for our recent clinic.

🐾And that’s not including all the dog food we buy. Dog Lady here hates to ask but it can’t be helped. 😟
