♥️ Sunday at PetSmart started a bit slow but picked up to send Ghost and Max off to home tryouts. 🤞 Maggie was officially adopted after bouncing from foster to tryout to foster to tryout to finally home. 🏡 After a year Monkey has a home tryout that just might stick. 🤞 Thanks to meeting her human who works at PetSmart Hotel where she’s been fostered lately. 🏩 Sadly Pepper and Atlas came back from their fosters (Pepper got a start as a pup with a family (year ago?) that didn’t work on her jumping on kids seriously enough so she gets returned: so no more people with toddlers) and (Atlas is perfect except he eyes the cat in the house a bit too much like lunch 🥪 so no more people with cats) 🤷🏻‍♀️ So we broke even on the HQ today: 2 out 2 in. ⚖️ However, this week will be busy and we could desperately use more foster homes. 🏡 Even if it’s for a week or two weeks it helps. 🙏 Huge thank you’s to Hank’s foster folks, Marissa fostering Sonny and Geri Lynn who last minute heeded my call for help to wrangle people and dogs today. ♥️ Mush appreciated. 🐾

We need your help😬‼️ We have several people wanting to return dogs 😢 on top of those that were planned to arrive through the week (starting tomorrow Monday). Retiring or looking for rec mush home Sled dogs arriving. The ones returning are year old dogs who just need a buddy to play with or an active human to get them the exercise they need. Can you help⁉️ Summer time 🌞 and you can have a ready made adventure buddy⁉️

Please keep an eye 👁️ out for Mr. Blackie. Just neutered and arrived from an island village near nome. Opened the door of his foster home right before going to adopt day and is ha if a walkabout. Missing from Taku Elementary area of Anchorage since 2 pm Sunday. Do NOT Chase. He’s skittish and scared. ⭐️ It takes a village - in this case Nome and of Nome. Dogs weighed in at 5 pm Fri. and just now dropped at NAC at 4:00am Sat. Heading to a spay/neuter clinic. More details to come on this inaugural partnership amongst animal welfare groups to find a more affordable option for spay/neuters. 🐾 May seem a bit unorthodox but given the backlog and costs and lack of vets. 🤷🏻‍♀️ More details soon on this first try. Thank you Emily at Paws of Nome for all the coordination and pushing and prodding. 🙌

📣 Meet Rambo: about 3 yrs old sled dog from a village near Bethel. He’s a bit on the stocky shorter leg size so didn’t match up well with the rest of the team to race. Scheduled for neuter this weekend. Looking for a foster or adopter starting Monday. Can you help Rambo⁉️ 🐾🏡

📣 Meet Tiger 🐅 or more appropriately Tigger‼️ This sweet redhead is neutered, approx 4 yr. old sled dog who can jump straight up from a standing position to about 3 to 4 ft. When he gets excited to see you. Boings‼️ He came in from a village on the Iditarod trail with 3 others, who were mainly companions, or used for hauling firewood in for an elder who can no longer care for them on her own. Tiger is at the Aug HQ, but would love a foster home where he can get more individual attention or better yet an adopter‼️ He gets along w other dogs and loves to play. Knows how to use a dog door to go out for potty. Do you have a spot for Tiger 🐯 ⁉️
