For all you axolotls lovers, rather you interested or have them now.

🩷 Meet the Pink Classic Axolotl! 🩷

These adorable little aquatic amphibians are fascinating, but they require special care to stay healthy!

💧 Water Temperature: 60–68°F
🌡️ pH: 6.5–8.0
🏡 Tank Size: 20 gallons minimum for one; larger is better!
🍽️ Food: Earthworms, quality axolotl pellets, and occasional frozen treats.
🐾 Tank Mates: Best kept alone.

🏖️ What about substrate?

✅ Bare-bottom tanks are an excellent choice, especially for young axolotls, and make cleaning easier.

✅ Very fine, smooth sand (under 1 mm grain size) can be used for axolotls over 6 inches long.

❌ Never use gravel, small pebbles, or coarse substrate! Axolotls can accidentally swallow them, causing dangerous intestinal blockages.

🩺 Watch for illness: Fungus, curled gills, loss of appetite, or unusual floating can signal a problem. Test your water and contact an exotic veterinarian if you notice concerning symptoms.

💚 Keep their water cool, clean, dechlorinated, and gently filtered!
