We met Bangs when she was brought in with her littermate, Bouffant, both barely weighing one pound🥹 One of our fabulous foster families immediately stepped up and took both of them in until they were ready for the adoption floor.

Bangs, now Beatrice, met her new family about six weeks later and has kept them on their toes ever since. Her family says that she is full of energy, always exploring, pouncing, and entertaining everyone. Seems Beatrice has a great time playing (annoying?😏) her new big brother Bucky, but their bond grows every day!💞

Pup cups are always appreciated😋

No experience is necessary to participate in Snout and About, and children are welcome! We will provide you with a backpack full of the supplies you need for your adventure. All you need to supply is love💞

The storm our area is expecting to see tomorrow has slowed down meaning the rain may last longer and there's more potential for tidal flooding. Areas that flood likely will, with other areas also seeing more flooding than usual. Stay off the roads tomorrow if at all possible. If you have to be on the roads tomorrow, remember: Turn Around, Don't Drown. Check fences and bring your pets inside! Continue to follow official sources for information.

💞Meet Dawson! 💞

Dawson was our four-legged shelter ambassador at this week's Chesapeake Town Meeting and we think it’s safe to say that he stole the show!😃 He left with a belly full of treats and slept all the way home. These meetings provide Chesapeake citizens with the opportunity to speak one-on-one to council members and different departments throughout the city. But we think meeting a shelter dog is the best part😉

Dawson is a 3-month old mixed-breed pup who was surrendered when his owner’s health began to decline. He walks well on a leash and will do just about anything for a treat😋Dawson is crate-trained and doing very well with house training. He has lived with small children and is playful and calm with them. He enjoys the company of other dogs and also likes cats😽 We’re not sure about his breed, but we suspect that he is going to be a big pup. (Just look at those paws!!) Regardless of his DNA, Dawson is a pure-bred sweetheart🥰
