Little CASHEW & his owner started their In- Home training journey this afternoon! The owner wants to focus on 3 main things for Cashew’s In-Home Training:

1.) Recall
2.) Leash heeling
3.) Address some minor barking around the home

We started with recall today and both owner and pup did great! Good start 👍

Pittie LENNY & his owner started in-home training today! Lenny & his owner are participating in training for 3 main things:

1.) Recall
2.) Leash heeling
3.) Reactivity in the yard and around the home when he sees things going on outside.

We are starting our training with remote E collar recall. Lenny & his owner did great and Lenny had a blast with his recall training!

Great Going Home Session with Daisy and her owner this morning! Daisy and her “mom” did great and the owner is ready to start enjoying Daisy 2.0 👏 Great start for these two!!

Great Going Home session with Chandler and his owner last evening. Prior to training Chandler was a handful: barking and reacting at anything and everything in public - so much the owner could not take him anywhere. Barking and reacting out of the house windows. Sometimes listening to his owner really well but other times if he didn’t want to do something- he would just run away from his owner/ the situation in attempt to avoid. So has sweet and loving and friendly as Chandler is he was a challenge for sure.

Yesterday’s session was a great new start for Chandler and his owner. They were able to enjoy their first walk through the neighborhood with seeing Halloween decorations, people, dogs, a stroller, etc all while Chandler heeled beautifully and was CALM.

Awesome start to a new and improved canine- human relationship. S1/5

Used-to-be Dog Reactive Willow is now CALM Willow 😁

Willow did a Board & Train with me to specifically address her leash reactivity towards other dogs. She made massive progress over the 3 weeks with me but tonight was the true test: walking with her owner.

1st: I handled/walked Willow first while her owner followed behind us and I explained what to pay attention to (in Willow AND in the dogs we were passing), my decision making in situations, when to help support Willow via verbal, leash and/or e collar communication, etc.

2nd: The owner took the leash and remote E collar and handled/walked Willow and I walked behind and gave verbal input if needed but not much was needed.

3rd: we had Willow practice a calm down/stay at a bench for about 10 min while dogs passed by.

4th: (& the most important part): Willow’s owner took her out for another walk (passing lots of dogs again ) while I stayed back at the bench so my presence was completely out of it and could not impact things AND the owner could gain his own confidence in handling his dog successfully in a very challenging environment without me preset. When the owner got back with Willow he said she was solid - no issues at all. 👍🐕 💪 😎 Awesome!

New dogs in training, Chandler & Daisy, are making massive progress with their training! Here is what they were practicing Monday & Tuesday of this week:

1. Trips to Freedom Park: leash heeling & long-line work (practicing recall/come, down/stays, etc).

2. Trips to Birkdale Village: leash heeling and duration public down/stays.

3. Obedience practice: kennel and open field

4. Group “place” practice

Not a bad 2 days at all 🐕🐕😎☀️
