Southeast Animal Behavior and Training (SABT) is North Carolina’s NEWEST veterinary behavior and training center, focused on serving the dogs and cats throughout the Charlotte area and beyond.

🐾 Meet our newest trainer, Nicole Green! 🐾

Nicole has been working with dogs since 2018, gaining hands-on experience in shelters across Florida and North Carolina. Her time in the shelter system inspired her passion for understanding canine behavior and helping dogs who are often misunderstood.

Certified through Animal Behavior College in 2023, Nicole is dedicated to helping owners strengthen the bond with their pets through positive, effective training. 💙

We’re excited to share that Nicole will begin teaching Puppy Kindergarten classes starting October 13th, and spots will go fast!

September Pet of the Month: Meet Ruby!🤗

Ruby is a 5-year-old Corgi who came to us for help with new and escalating aggression toward her mom, along with anxiety around storms and fireworks. With a thoughtful combination of management, medication, and treatment for underlying pain, Ruby has made incredible progress. We’re so proud of her and the steps she’s taking toward a happier, more comfortable life. 💕🐾

🐾 Happy Labor Day! 🐾
Just like our pets thrive on positive reinforcement, we all benefit from a well-earned break. Our office is closed today, September 1st, so our team can rest and recharge, and we’ll reopen tomorrow with normal hours (8am – 5pm).

August Pet of the Month: Meet Olaf🤩

Olaf was originally seen in 2023 for being extremely fearful and anxious since adoption about a year prior to our visit. Olaf preferred to be outside constantly, was fearful of being inside a house and was fearful of small triggers such as movement or any eye contact.

Olaf has come so far with his medication and training plan, as well as a lot of hard work with his mom!! He is now loving his cozy lifestyle inside (but still enjoys a romp outside) and has become such a happy and content boy.

Way to go, Olaf!👏🏻

🎉 July Pet of the Month: Ares! 🐾
Ares came to Southeast Animal Behavior & Training in December 2023 for evening irritability, resource guarding with his dog sisters, and some nervousness around new people. With thoughtful treatment from Dr. Maggie, for his anxiety and possible pain, Ares has made incredible progress. He’s now a happier, more relaxed boy, and even welcomed a new dog brother into the family! 💙

As we continue our mission to support pets and their people, we also pause to reflect on the significance of this day and stand in solidarity in the ongoing journey toward equity and justice. 🖤❤️💛💚

Meet Jet and Bebop, two very adorable pups and our June Pets of the Month! Jet came to see us for scuffles with his fur siblings and Bebop came to see us for anxiety and nervousness. Thanks to the implementation of detailed treatment plans from Dr. O'Brian and Dr. Baucom, and hard work from their furmom, these two kiddos are doing great! We're so proud of how far they've come and look forward to continue watching their growth. 🐶❤️
