**🐾 Another foreign body adventure... 🩲🐕**

Well, it’s that time again! 🐾 Another pet that thought underwear was a tasty treat…Quick action with the owner AND our medical team avoided an impromptu surgery 🙈

To all the pet owners out there: Always keep your laundry out of reach! We’re just grateful it’s not too serious this time around, but could have been a painful and costly surgery 😅

🚨 **Warning to all pet parents!** 🚨

Puppy toys might seem like harmless fun, but some can be a hidden danger to your furry friend. 🐾 Many popular toys break apart easily, and those small pieces can be ingested, leading to choking hazards or even more serious internal damage, like an obstruction 😟

The photos attached to this post show the **actual toy** that was ingested. 😳 Luckily, the owner noticed the missing “rope” from the toy and brought this young pup in for medical attention. Our medical team was successfully able to induce vomiting and avoided costly radiographs and necessary exploratory surgery.

✅ Always choose durable, non-toxic toys that are safe for chewing.
✅ Supervise playtime, especially with new or unfamiliar toys.
✅ If your puppy is prone to chewing through toys quickly, opt for tougher materials or puzzle toys to keep them engaged.

Remember: Safety first, fun second! 🐶❤️

❄️🐾 **Charleston, SC Snow Alert: Know the Risks for Your Furry Friends!** 🐾❄️

It’s a rare sight, but the snow in Charleston can still pose a danger to our dogs! 🐶 While it’s tempting to let your pup enjoy the winter wonderland, long walks in the snow can be risky. ❄️

Here’s why:
1. **Cold Paws & Frostbite**: Just like humans, dogs can get cold too! Prolonged exposure to snow and ice can lead to frostbite on their paws and ears. 🥶
2. **Icy Surfaces**: Snow + ice = slippery sidewalks, which could lead to injuries, especially for older dogs. 💔
3. **Salt & Chemicals**: The salt used to melt ice can irritate your dog’s paws or even be harmful if ingested. 🧂🚫
4. **Cold Stress**: Some breeds are more susceptible to the cold. Be cautious if your pup isn’t accustomed to low temps! 🐕
