As the weather gets warmer and summer arrives, it's important to remember a few safety tips when taking your pets on adventures with you!
❤️Don't leave your pet in the car! Temperatures inside parked vehicles can reach over 100 degrees in minutes, even if the car is parked in the shade with all the windows cracked. Extreme heat can be fatal as pets cannot sweat to regulate temperature like humans.
❤️Make sure your pet has access to fresh water and shade when outdoors! Walking in extreme heat is not advised, especially on pavement as it can damage their paw pads.
If you notice any symptoms such as: Panting, Drooling, Lethargy, Weakness, Vomiting or Diarrhea after being in the heat, Please call us at (919)-951-7851, or call VEG after hours at (919)-374-1909
