These two are some of the sweetest cats in town, and they're finally ready for their new home!

Meet Shadow and Glenny Glen - They were surrendered to us earlier this year when their loving owner was unable to care for them any longer.

Shadow is a handsome 5 year old neutered male, sweet as can be, and loves attention once he warms up. Shadow came from us originally, when he was found as a stray behind our very own Cole Park Vet Hospital! We were more than happy to welcome him back with open arms, but we know he will thrive in his forever home.

Glenny Glen is a beautiful 12 year old spayed female, very gentle, and loves affection. Glenny has some medication that comes along with being a senior kitty, but she takes them easily. This precious girl is ready to find her forever retirement home!

Both are up to date on their Rabies/FVRCP vaccines and exams.

Come in to visit these sweethearts in the lobby, and ask for information on adoption!

Here at Cole Park Vet, we know that life is better with a furry friend by your side! Pictured here is one of our newest patients, Mac, and his dad. These two clearly love each other, and we can't wait to help take care of Mac's health for many years to come! 🐾

We absolutely love seeing photos that show the true love between our clients and patients. After all, your bond with them is critical to our care! When you notice something even just a little off about your furry friend, give us a call and we'd be happy to assist. 🤒

Now that we've seen Mac and his dad, we would love to see some photos of you with your furry family! We invite you to reply and/or send us some pictures that represent you and your pets bond. 🤍

Thankful to this rescue and good samaritan who gave this hawk another chance at life 🙏 and grateful our hospital manager Arvadia Mason was able to transport her!

This beautiful hawk was apparently hit by a car yesterday. We had 5 people call about this bird within 5 minutes, only one stopped to help!

Thankfully, they took the bird to Cole Park Vet, who were nice enough to take the bird off their hands and get it to us!!! We know it's very tough for vets to leave their jobs too, so we completely appreciate this!

It's DENTAL HEALTH MONTH! 😁 What do you do for your pet's dental health?

Pibb has some suggestions!

-Tooth Brushing. This is the gold standard. Brushing your pets teeth once daily with pet toothpaste can keep tartar down. Many pets are not tolerant of tooth brushing, especially older pets who have never had them brushed before - that is why we recommend getting your pets use to having their mouth and teeth touched at a young age.

-Dental treats and chews. Encouraging your pet to chew on vet-approved treats and toys helps keep plaque down and improves dental hygiene.

-Water additives. You can add vet-approved water additives to your pets water supply to help improve dental health and smelly breath!

-Routine dental cleanings. Having a vet clean and polish your pets teeth can prevent dental deterioration and future problems like tooth root abscesses, infections, and resorptions.

DAVE'S COLD WEATHER TIPS:
Dave has collected a few tips from around the hospital to keep you and your pets safe during this chilly weekend!
1. Keep pets warm, and preferably indoors. If unable to keep an animal indoors, straw bedding provides better insulation than blankets. Provide fresh, unfrozen water to all times to pets.
2. Limit walks on salted pavement, or try dog booties! Excessive salt exposure can irritate paw pads, and be ingested by pets through licking.
3. Keep extra of your pets food and medications on-hand in case of severe winter weather. Please request medication refills with at least 24hr notice, as we need time to process and fulfill the request.
4. Ensure pets are unable to access anti-freeze. Anti-freeze (ethylene glycol) is toxic to pets, but especially to cats. Even small amounts can lead to vomiting, severe lethargy, and acute kidney failure. Seek an emergency veterinarian if you suspect your pet has ingested anti-freeze.
5. Signs of hypothermia in dogs and cats include (but are not limited to) cold skin, shivering, lethargy, and pale/blue gums. Seek an emergency veterinarian if you suspect your pet has hypothermia.
6. Keep warm with a furry friend this week. Dave says he would make a great companion, and would love to find his forever home before the snow! Come in to visit him, and ask for information on adoption.

He's not a kitten, but he sure is cute and ready to find a new home!

Meet Pibb, he was brought to us after being accidently trapped by local rescue. Upon intake exam, Pibb was found to have sustained a bite wound while outdoors. Because of that, he then had to complete his legally required 4mo rabies quarantine/observation. He has since been vaccinated for rabies, and is ready to see the world!

Pibb is a HIGHLY energetic and affectionate cat, who would do best with lots of space to run/play, indoors or out. Pibb is quite dominant when it comes to other animals, and is not afraid of other species. We have found Pibb to be very easily excited, and he's definitely not afraid to show it!

He is neutered and up to date on his FVRCP and Rabies vaccines.
He has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Come in to give Pibb lots of love, and ask information on adoption!

As much as we love our sweet, petite, and Churu obsessed girl, she needs to find her forever family!

Meet Harriet, she was brought to us in July 2025 after being found outside with her mom and siblings. Her mom and all her siblings have since been adopted, but she is still looking for the perfect place to call home!

Harriet is extremely sweet, very social, and loves to play. She especially loves her favorite Churu treats. She would do best with slow introductions to other kitties.

She is spayed and up to date on her FVRCP and Rabies vaccines.
Her sibling tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

Come in to visit and play with Harriet, and ask information on adoption!

New year, but these two are still waiting for their forever home!

Meet Dave and Toot - both are very sweet, social, and active young boys! They get along well together, or with other cats.

Dave was brought to us in August 2025 after being found as a stray with a fractured rear left leg. After consulting with radiologists and surgeons, he wore a cast for 8 weeks before making a full recovery!

Toot was brought to us in September 2025 after being found by an employee's relative.

Both have been neutered and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. They are up to date on their FVRCP and Rabies vaccines.

Come in to visit these cuties, and ask for information on adoption!
