Horse Camp in 30 seconds... but the memories will last much longer. 🐴💙

In just four days, these campers built confidence in and out of the saddle, learned horse safety and care, made new friends, and discovered just how much they could accomplish.
The best part? Every single camper earned their Rainbow Level ribbon! 🌈 We're so proud of everything they achieved this week.

Congratulations to all 8 riders, and thank you for making it such a fun week at Blue Heron Farm! ❤️

🐴 Horse Camp Day 3 🐴

Today we practiced riding the Question Box Obstacle Course to get ready for tomorrow's End of Camp Show!

After lunch, campers learned the parts of our tack and then put that knowledge to work by cleaning saddles and bridles until they were shiny and ready for the show.

We also pitched in to clean horse stalls and learned that caring for horses means taking care of the whole barn—not just riding.

We're excited to show off everything we've learned tomorrow! 🐴💙

🐴 Horse Camp Day 2 🐴
Busy day!

This morning we rode the horses, practiced mounted stretching, and played Red Light Green Light using our real traffic light.

Campers also painted wooden horse head magnets before lunch.

In the afternoon, we learned about horse nutrition and made the horses some yummy pizza treats. Then, even though it's Horse Camp, we took a break to spend some time loving on the goats in the pasture. 🐐

We finished the day in the barn learning more about the horse each camper is riding this week, including their breed, color, height, and other fun facts.

Another great day at camp!
