Feeding several animals on a regular basis? Want to save some money? We have bulk pricing options and subscription services! How does it work you ask, simple.

First, decide the quantity of feeder insect or frozen rodent you would like and the frequency of your order. You can either order it online to have it shipped directly to your door or even better, contact us to set you up on our subscription service! We have weekly, biweekly, and monthly options available. We get you signed up on a subscription service that automatically charges your card on file weekly/biweekly/monthly and we call you to let you know that your fresh feeders have arrived on Wednesday of your delivery week! Or shipping options are available! In a world of chaos, let's make this one a little easier on you ;)

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! We thank all of those that serve and protect, and want to especially thank and recognize the law enforcement officers of Chandler, IN and Henderson, KY. Both have been very supportive and welcoming of Metazotics with members of the force in both cities frequenting the shop to check out our reptiles! In addition to supporting our passion, when something in the area of note is/has taken place, they ensure we are informed to help protect our business, our property, and our associates. With that in mind, Metazotics brought treats and reptiles for a visit to each station today :) Thank you CPD and HPD for all that you do!

Anna here! Many of you may be familiar with my love for bugs. You've probably also noticed we've been out of crickets for a whole dang week. Which is why I've been bummed out, cuz looking at bugs brings joy and satisfaction to my adrenaline-soaked life.

That being said, I am thrilled to announce we have received our crickets and superworms finally! (Shout-out Mama Wendy for driving to pick them up and deliver them to both stores!!)

This time of year, between the weather and the holiday shipping delays, makes for unpredictable insect feeder supply. We really do appreciate your patience and flexibility this past week as we worked to sort it out. You guys are the best! Thank you for your business. 🧡

Today is Pet Travel and Safety Day! With that in mind, here are a few reminders/tips when traveling with your reptiles/amphibians.

*Be cognizant of the species needs in terms of temperature and humidity when traveling. Bearded dragons will need to be warmer than tree frogs, but tree frogs will need to be kept humid.

*Although we love giving our animals as much room as they may like under normal circumstances, when traveling, this isn't the best option. Large space gives more room to be knocked around, potentially causing injury as well as added stress. Utilize appropriate deli cups or cloth bags to secure the animals. They will feel safer and be more protected during the ride.

*If you have access to an insulated box, this will help protect your pet large temperature swings during extreme weather. Ensuring your car is pre warmed/cooled is the way to go, however an insulated box helps prevent the shock from moving from a climate controlled building to harsh outside temps while walking to your vehicle. If shipping an insulated box is a MUST.

*If traveling with you on a long distance, most reptiles/amphibians will be ok in a climate controlled vehicle. However, do not place them or their container in direct sunlight, nor leave them in a vehicle as you stop for a meal/etc.

*If the box is large enough that they are being kept in, you may use a heat pack if you want to raise the ambient temperature they are in. Ensure that the temperature is not getting too warm and that the animal (or it's traveling enclosure is not in direct contact with the heat pack.

💥2,216 Reptiles and Amphibians found new homes across the country! This grows the understanding, acceptance, and knowledge of these creatures by so many even outside of their owners.
💥1,185 Habitats were out to new homes and facilities! (One of Clint's favorites here as it shows the continued effort to upgrade and give these animals the best environments we can!)
💥Opened our 2nd location in March! And you all have made it successful!
💥Donated over $5,300 to conservation! While we enjoy these creatures at home, getting to see them in their natural state is something we want for our children!
💥Raised our staff count to 12!
💥Created multiple internship programs!
💥Paid Centerpoint over $17,000... (not happy about it, but know you all feel our pain on that one! 🤬)
💥Was able to add 3 new Metazotics specific products to our product line!
💥Gained 2,653 NEW customers!
💥Maintained a 4.9 google review rating for Chandler and a 5.0 for Henderson!
💥Vended 33 reptile shows across 4 states!
💥Loved every freaking second of it!
