🌾 Is your horse or goat refusing their hay? Stemmy hay might be to blame.
Stemmy hay is rough, stalky, and often harvested too late. This means fewer soft leaves and more coarse stems. It's harder to chew, less tasty, and lower in nutrition. While it can work as filler for cattle or less picky animals, most animals will waste it.

💡 Check your hay texture. Soft and leafy is always more appetizing!

🌾 Not all yellow hay is bad hay!
If your hay looks sun bleached on the outside, don’t worry. That pale color is usually just from sunlight breaking down the chlorophyll, not a sign of poor quality. As long as it’s dry, smells fresh, and has no mold, it’s still safe and nutritious to feed.

Bleached hay is often perfect for animals with lower energy needs like mature horses, goats, or donkeys.
