This handsome young guy is waiting patiently for his Fur-ever home to come along! We have posted him a few times and he has had no interest yet! He’s so sweet and oh so smart 🥰 He loves playing with his foster siblings and even enjoys saying hi to the resident cat when she comes around outside!

🐾Age: Around 4-5 Months
🐾Breed: Unknown (Our best guess would be Heeler mix) We cannot guarantee a breed mix without a DNA test

Bentley has left the building!!

Thank you so much to his fosters for being able to take this boy in on Tuesday! We are letting him decompress for a couple days before introducing him to their dog again, if it does not go well we will need another foster for him asap.

⚠️⚠️URGENT PLEA FOR TRISTEN⚠️⚠️
We have had 0 apps to help Tristen 😞

Tristen is on a euthanasia list for mental decline in the shelter. He NEEDS A FOSTER ASAP! His foster home needs to be close to Waterloo or Cedar Rapids for training. His mental decline is due to lack of mental stimulation, he does not have any aggression or other behavioral issues noted.

Please Note: He is DEAF so he will need an experienced foster AND consistent training!!

Meet Tristan, he is a 2 year old pitty mix that was found running as a stray in Illinois. He recently has been showing some decline in a shelter environment and we would like to get him into the rescue asap! He plays well with dogs, however with him being deaf he will need constant supervision and redirection to ensure his safety as he cannot communicate properly with other dogs. NO CATS. With his energy level no small kids.

We need him close to either Waterloo or Cedar Rapids to work with one of our trainers!! This is necessary for him.

He is ONLY available for fostering or foster to adopt at this time, he is out of state.

Requirements for Fostering:
-All animals in the home need to be UTD on age appropriate vaccines and Spayed/Neutered
-We prefer home owners but we do accept renters on a case by case basis (houses and long term renters)
-You need to be within traveling distance of Iowa City, Cedar Rapids or Cedar Falls/Waterloo for Vetting and Events.

We posted this sweet girl once before, one of the resident dogs isnt quite getting along with her. Shes oh so sweet and we just know once you meet her you will fall in love 🥰🥰

Heres some info on her!!
🐾Around 1 1/2 years old
🐾Mixed Breed (Possibly Australian Shepherd Pitbull mix?)
🐕Great with other dogs

👶Great with kids

Her foster mom says her only downfall is she has some anxiety in the kennel, but other then that, shes practically perfect!!

Meet Griffin!

We loved all of the name ideas you guys gave! We cannot reuse names within the rescue but you guys had so many creative ideas! Griffin is warming up really well, he is very sweet and wants nothing but attention and love. He NEEDS a foster home to go into once he gets neutered on Friday, once he heals he will be ready for adoption!!!

He seems to be more confident with another dog around but he NEEDS a decompression (Being separated from the other dog) period for the first few days to succeed.

We will continue to update as we learn more about him 🥰🐾

⚕Longer Term Medical Foster Needed!⚕

Meet Vette! (Like Corvette)
Our friends over at Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control in Cedar Rapids need help. They have a very handsome guy in need of a medical foster. He has had a Mast Cell Tumor previously removed (with good margins woo-hoo!!) But there is a chance it could return.
Along with that he has a partially torn ACL and bad hips. Once hes in a foster home we will fundraise to get him surgery to fix his ACL. Until then we NEED a medical foster for this sweet guy!!!

Heres some info on him!
🐾Around 4 years old
🐕Great with Dogs
🐈Ignores cats at the shelter
👶Unknown with kids but with his temperament we think he would be fine.

Keep in mind with his hips and torn ACL, with other dogs he needs to be kept at minimum with playing to risk it tearing anymore. He would do best with a lower energy dog but we are open to any foster who is willing to help.

Vette is NOT available for adoption and will not be until he has had his surgery and is medically cleared 🐾

Whiskey is such a special girl, she needs an adopter that will be able to provide her with a calm, safe space while she learns to trust people. She has come so far and we are so so proud of her, we are so hopeful that her forever person will find her soon ❤️🐾 She’s been with us for over 3 years, which makes her the LONGEST dog in the rescue!!

Whiskey is an energetic, on the go kinda girl. She loves playing fetch and having a job to do. She isn’t much of a cuddler but is a great guard dog and partner to play with who is very toy motivated! Slow introductions to new people work best for her as she has some anxiety but is a sweet heart and needs that right person to give her patience and grace. She is seeing a trainer to learn her triggers so we can help her succeed in a home!

Edit 9/3: Foster found!!!

Our sweet little guy has left the building! We know the last post was hard to watch, but it’s a brutal reality for some dogs and it is necessary to be seen sometimes. He will go into a temporary foster home while we work on finding a longer term foster or adopter!

On another note, he is not neutered so we are looking for a sponsor to help cover those costs.
He is around 20lbs currently so we are estimating around $150
