If you're not sure what type of training someone uses, it's best to just ask! Any qualified professional will be able to explain to you how their methods work in plain, simple terms, and without the need for euphemisms.

As for Aloha Academy, we are committed to using modern, Force-Free methods that prioritize the welfare of both you and your dog. We never use force, fear, pain, intimidation, discomfort, or intentional punishment to modify your dog's behavior.

In the study of animal behavior, dominance is defined as a status achieved between same species individuals living in a group, over preferential access to resources. Simply put, if it doesn't have anything to do with resources, or it's occurring between members of two different species (like dogs and humans), then it's not dominance!
