Continuing our focus on tick-borne diseases this week, today we’re talking about Bobcat Fever. 🐱

Bobcat fever is a serious, potentially life-threatening disease in cats caused by a parasite spread through tick bites, especially from the Lone Star tick. Cases are becoming more common as ticks spread to new areas.

Signs can appear quickly and include:
• Fever
• Lethargy
• Loss of appetite
• Pale gums or jaundice
• Difficulty breathing

If your cat shows these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately.
