Meet Scout!

If you're looking for a pony with charm, smarts, and a whole lot of heart, look no further than Scout.
Scout is a ~15-year-old Welsh cross gelding who came to Freedom and Whiskey Equine Rescue nearly nine years ago after being pulled from a kill auction. Before that, he was part of an Amish community where he was used for both driving and riding a hard-working little guy with a steady temperament and a will to please.
Since arriving at the rescue, Scout has become one of our most easygoing and social residents. He gets along with everyone horses, ponies, donkeys, people and he’s especially close with pasture pals Titan and W***y. His best buddy, though, might just be Opie the donkey. The two of them can often be found roughhousing, grazing side by side, or planning their next bit of mischief.
Scout is a medium-sized pony with a big personality. His only real vice? He despises wearing a fly mask. Despite our best efforts, he’s a pro at removing it and more often than not, we find ourselves playing "pasture scavenger hunt" to retrieve it. He’s otherwise low-maintenance, healthy, and full of life.
Whether he's making friends, soaking up attention, or just enjoying a sunny day in the field, Scout is always bringing good energy.
