Endings, Beginnings, Change…
Change is hard. Extreme change is extremely hard. It is with profound sadness, joy, and appreciation for the years spent devoting our time and energy to this organization, that we announce we have sold the property and are shutting down. Effective immediately, the property is closed.
Our main herd has transferred to Rapidan Equine Sanctuary, and will continue to be cared for by people who know and love them. As we shut down our operation as a business in the coming weeks, we are working diligently to finalize placement for the few remaining equines out in foster care.
We would like to take this time to thank our dedicated staff, volunteers, and all the entities, past and present, that took CVHR from a dream to a reality. Your tireless efforts in all conditions have not gone unnoticed or forgotten, and the equines whose lives you’ve touched will forever benefit from those interactions.
