Debating if it is too hot to ride? Consider the heat index by adding the temperature and humidity. Anything totaling 130-170 you shoukd be extremely cautious and 170 or above, you should not ride!

150 is an excellent benchmark of it being too hot. You can consider hosing your horse off to help them stay cool.
