Cane Rosso Rescue 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and building awareness for homeless dogs

The goal of Cane Rosso Rescue is to find homes for dogs who have been abandoned at shelters or whose owners who can no longer care for them. We are looking for fosters, adopters and volunteers who can help transport dogs to their homes. Donations are needed to pay for medical care and other expenses and can be made via PayPal at [email protected].

Hey there, I’m Tater Tot, a beagle mix.

The nice people at Cane Rosso Rescue busted me out of a loud, stinky shelter (thank goodness 🙌) and now I’m chillin’ in a super awesome foster home. Life is already way better—but what I really need is a forever family of my own.

I am super sweet and would do well in a variety of homes, especially one with another dog!

🤬 “Just shoot them”. That seems totally logical and reasonable as a solution, right?!?
These dogs were dumped and they needed help. That’s how much care went into helping find a home for two stray dogs in OK when the finders looked for help. .

Well, we can do better…..obviously!!!!!! These dogs are great and deserve a chance, so social media, do you thing and help us get them to safety and into Cane Rosso Rescue.

We need foster homes for a Beagle and Bluetick Coonhound! They don’t have to stay together.

💙Meet Pete – he’s a gorgeous lemon English Pointer with legs for daaaayyyyys… we’re talking supermodel status! He is polite, RELAXED & MELLOW…what more could you want???

Pete came to us from a small shelter in Corsicana, TX where he didn’t have much of a chance of being seen. They contacted us for help and oh boy, are we glad they did!

Pete the Pointer is AWESOME! Why?

In his short time with us, it’s clear Pete has his life together—no potty training disasters, no leash-chewing chaos, no “we’re still working on it” excuses. This guy shows up with zero drama, all love, and a whole lot of great dog skills. We have nothing but good things to say about this gentleman… because honestly, he’s perfect.

His paperwork says he’s 6.5, but….. we’re thinking *maybe* a little younger.

At 5–6 years old, he’s not the fluffy young puppy everyone’s lining up for, and his chances of being noticed were slim. When the call came asking if we had room, a kind-hearted foster said “yes,” and that’s when his second chance truly began.

Since then, Pete’s been the perfect foster houseguest. He’s sweet and well-mannered, and loves being near his people. He’s good with other dogs. If you’re looking for a calm, relaxed companion who’s always down to chill—Pete’s your guy.

If your home is missing a very tall, mellow pup who just wants to love and be loved, Pete’s waiting for you.

Priscilla grew up in a shelter — and it shows.

No one ever taught her boundaries, manners, or that people are safe and good. She’s young, gorgeous, extremely smart, …..but also a bit of a handful if we’re being honest.

Who’s up for helping this girl out?!?? 🙏🙏

She needs a foster to set her up for success — to teach her how to be a dog, set boundaries, and show her that life outside a shelter can be safe and full of love. The good news? She’s sharp and learns VERY fast — she just needs a chance and someone to help her.

💔Every single one of these dogs needs a chance, a foster to say yes, “I’ll help you find a better life”.

This small shelter is packed. Dogs stacked on dogs, all staring through chain-link hoping someone notices them. They’ve got seniors, mid-age, young… something for everyone.

And the kicker? They’re already tested as dog-friendly, vaccinated, and ready to go. Literally just waiting.

But instead, they sit. In overcrowded kennels. Day after day. Because, sure, overcrowded kennels are a better option than a foster home… right?

‼️Nope, not for us! We want to be part of the solution. Let’s help them find homes! Message us with whatever dog number you’d like to foster and we will make it happen!

English Pointer alert! Foster home needed! We want to save his life!

💔He’s scheduled for euthanasia on Friday because the finders can’t keep him any longer

This guy found himself homeless, no collar, no microchip and no one looking for him. Same story, different day, he was dumped and someone shrugged off whatever responsibility they had for him onto someone else.

He’s been great in the home at foster and awesome with their kids, but they cannot continue to keep him and are out of options. This is rescue, euthanasia of adoptable dogs because shelters and homes are now full too.

⏰So….our clock is ticking to find this guy a foster home asap and save his life. Let’s do our thing and save Pete!

🥲These puppies are siblings who landed at a shelter. That’s no place for any dog, let alone babies, so let’s help them!

They are 3 month old mutt mixes, maybe some hound or Pointer in there, and they need foster homes secured so they can start living a proper home life, not growing up in shelter one. They can go to separate homes.

Meet Henry – Big dog, big love! He is cuddly, RELAXED & MELLOW…what more could you want???

Henry is a grown-ass man dog with his life together—no potty training disasters, no leash-chewing chaos, no “we’re still working on it” excuses. This guy shows up with zero drama, all love, and a whole lot of cuddle skills. We have nothing but good things to say about this senior gentleman… because honestly, he’s perfect.

Henry came to us from a small, overcrowded shelter where we knew dogs like him often sit for months—sometimes forever—without a second glance. At 7 years old and a big guy, he’s not the fluffy little puppy everyone’s lining up for, and his chances of being noticed were slim. When the call came asking if we had room, a kind-hearted foster said “yes,” and that’s when his second chance truly began.

Since then, Henry’s been the perfect foster houseguest. He’s sweet, snuggly, well-mannered, and loves being near his people. He’s good with cats and dogs. If you’re looking for a calm, relaxed companion who’s always down to chill—Henry’s your guy.

He recently got the chance to try swimming… and politely declined. He’s more “lounging poolside” than “diving in.”
