April 6th is ! Here are 3 fun facts about Siamese Cats:

1. Siamese cats are very vocal: They are known for their distinctive meows and are quite chatty. In fact, they will often have conversations with their owners and make their presence known with their loud, piercing voice.

2. Siamese cats have a temperature-sensitive coat: Their fur is lighter in color on their body where it's warmer and darker on their extremities, such as their face, ears, tail, and feet. This is due to a genetic trait that causes melanin to be produced at cooler temperatures.

3. Siamese cats were once royalty: They were kept by members of the Thai royal family and were considered sacred. In fact, it was believed that the souls of deceased royalty were transferred to Siamese cats, and they were often used in royal ceremonies.

Sergeant Stubby (1916 – March 16, 1926) was a dog and the OFFICIAL mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment (United States) and was assigned to the 26th (Yankee) Division in World War I. He served for 18 months and participated in 17 battles on the Western Front. He saved his regiment from surprise mustard gas attacks, found and comforted the wounded, and allegedly once caught a German soldier by the seat of his pants, holding him there until American soldiers found him.[2] His actions were well-documented in contemporary American newspapers.

Ghost is the most people pleasing dog.. He molds into whatever situation you put him in. So whether he has a dog friend to play with or not, he will be happy doing whatever his humans do! He LOVES to swim and run around the lake. Have a pool? Even better!

We have worked well with basic commands and because he likes to people please. He is phenomenal with listening and learning new skills quickly! He's about two years old and 90 lbs of love!!!

He would do well with an active family who enjoys bringing their dog to the dog park, to fun outdoor events, or other dog friendly places. He loves all dogs he meets, and although he has a big bark, that is his way of saying hello!
Because he is so fabulous with all dogs including my foster pups, I think he would do well in a home with a cat. It would just need to be a slow introduction and teaching Ghost the manners with the cat.

He sleeps a lot of the day. But he plays hard! Ghost would do great with a family with all ages of kids. He is very gentle and knows she is strong. He does love to cuddle and give you his paw, so would need to be monitored with younger kids! Apply to adopt at codysfriendsrescue.org. We will set up a meet and greet.
