We just wanted to share some wonderful fur babies we’ve gotten to see in the past few days!
We have George Rowles with big ole Jawles, our sweet baby mastiff boy! He was a little shy at first but then warmed up after some delicious treats.
We also got to see our refined older lady Gracie, she got to stay at the hospital with us while she received some testing and care! She enjoyed cuddling up on some blankets and pillows but mainly wanted to be as close to us as possible!
Last but not least, we got to see the big brave boy Jafar. He was a bit more nervous while he was dropped off with us but after getting to cuddle up in Dr Cannons lab and some anti-anxiety medications; he was so happy!
We love seeing and spending time with all the kiddos, so please bring them on in!

We saw a feathered friend named Thanksgiving at our Eagle Creek location! Thankfully, Dr. Abernathy was able to help this turkey with bumblefoot! What is bumblefoot? It is common bacterial infection and inflammatory reaction that occurs on the feet of birds, rodents, and rabbits. Its symptoms can range from mild to severe! Bumblefoot can take various forms, but it usually looks like an abscess or swelling with a central, dark-colored scab that may or may not ooze. Sometimes, this swollen bump contains pus or thick discharge, yuck! A little critter could easily get bumblefoot from getting a small cut or scratch on their foot, if a bacterium happens to sneak in then bumblefoot occurs! Treatment can vary from keeping the area cleaning and treating with antibiotics to removal and drainage of the abscess! Ongoing treatment of cleaning and wrapping the foot can help with recovery!
