We focus our mission on the rescue and rehabilitation of cats and kittens from Caribou and surrounding communities who are not eligible for admission to other area shelters. me.”

HHPR provides community support by:

providing pet care assistance to families in crisis
providing spay/neuter resources
offering equipment for temporary fostering of strays
practicing Trap/Neuter/Relocation of area feral colonies
providing community education about animal welfare issues
HHPR is an all-volunteer, licensed 501c3 nonprofit.

🚨 URGENT NEED – PLEASE HELP 🚨

HHPR’s rescue building is currently full of healthy, happy cats enjoying plenty of free-roaming space. However, a sudden surge in urgent cases has forced us to place 22 additional cats in temporary foster homes — and we are in immediate need of supplies to keep them safe.

🐾 What we URGENTLY NEED: At least 6 large dog crates (double-door preferred for safety)

Friso L: 42”L x 28”W x 30”H
Friso XL: 48”L x 28”W x 32”H
https://www.chewy.com/dp/137165?utm_source=app-share&utm_campaign=137165

These crates are critical for safely housing very needy cats while they receive vet care and undergo personality evaluations. While this is an immediate emergency, these crates will also support future rescue situations.

🧡 Additional needs:
• Cat food
• Cat litter
• Capstar
• Revolution Plus (for cats)

We expect these cats to be in our care until they’re healthy and ready for adoption, likely by February.

Every donation makes a difference. Please help if you can — and thank you for always supporting HHPR and the cats who need us most. 🐱💙

💕 This is what love, teamwork, and compassion can do. 💕

Just a few months ago, Rufus and Mocha were 3-month-old feral kittens living under an abandoned trailer in Caribou with their mom and siblings. Fast forward to today, and these two are thriving 6-month-old, sterilized, tamed kittens living their best lives in a forever home. 🏠

Now they enjoy warm shelter, full bellies, endless playtime, and even playdates with their new family’s Golden Retriever and adult cat, Sylvie. 🐱

Thanks to the dedicated Halfway Home Pet Rescue volunteers who safely trapped and cared for them, Rufus, Mocha, and their littermates are safe, loved, and will never face life on the streets. Every HHPR cat and kitten is sterilized before adoption because we truly believe in Fix the Future.

Donate today to help us save more cats like Rufus and Mocha.

🦃🍁 Giving Thanks This Thanksgiving 🍁🦃
This holiday season, we’re counting our blessings — and You are at the top of our list.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, countless cats have been rescued, cared for, and welcomed into loving homes this year. Our most recent adoption event was a wonderful success with many happy endings!

We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated volunteers, kind supporters, and loving adopters who make second chances possible.

🐾 One of those miracles is Licorice — found last winter frozen to a snowbank stump. She didn’t move when gently placed inside a rescuer’s coat. She likely wouldn’t have survived the night. Shy with visitors but loving with volunteers, she waited in our free-roaming room until someone special came looking for a “music-loving kitty” and chose her. Today, Licorice is safe and loved because of you. 🧡
