🎆 Is your pet ready for the Fourth of July? 🐾

Fireworks, family gatherings, and travel can be stressful for our furry friends. Every year, more pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other holiday.

We strongly recommend:
✅ Microchipping your pet in case they become lost
✅ Talking with your veterinarian about calming medications if your pet is anxious during fireworks
✅ Keeping pets safely indoors or securely leashed, especially during celebrations and while traveling

If your pet isn't microchipped yet or could benefit from medication to help them stay calm, schedule a wellness appointment now before the holiday rush!

Please take a moment to review our hours for the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

We'll be open Monday through Thursday, with one important change: all TNR cats brought in on Thursday, July 2 must be picked up the same day, as we will be closed Friday through Sunday.

📢 TNR Reminder for Next Week! 🐱

We will be OPEN for TNR on Thursday, July 2, but please note that all cats must be picked up the same day since AlterClinic will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day.

To safely take cats home the same day, caretakers/trappers must be able to keep them securely contained in a quiet, temperature-controlled environment for 24 hours after surgery.

We have officially reached TNR capacity for this week, and TNR walk-ins are now CLOSED through the remainder of the week.

Please note:
• Scheduled TNR appointments are still reserved until 10:00am on the day of the appointment.
• Regular TNR walk-in hours will resume Monday, 6/1.

Our $25 OFF TNR promotion has officially CONCLUDED and all promotional funding has now been exhausted.

Thanks to generous contributions from an anonymous donor and organized by Friends of Stark Pound, 50 dogs will receive a FREE spay/neuter surgery this June at AlterClinic Animal Care!

🐶 25 bully breed dogs
🐶 25 non-bully breed dogs

To qualify:
• Dog must be OWNED (no foster or rescue dogs)
• Dog must be over 3 months of age
• Female dogs must weigh under 100 pounds
• Limit one dog per household
• Appointment must be scheduled for June 2026

A $50 deposit is required to reserve your appointment. This deposit will be fully refunded when you keep your scheduled appointment.

📞 Appointments CANNOT be booked online.
Please call the clinic at 234-804-3064 or schedule in person. Online appointments will not qualify for this promotion.

This special is first-come, first-served and applies only to the first 50 NEW qualifying appointments scheduled for June 2026. Existing appointments are not eligible. Once all spots are filled, we will begin a cancellation list.

Friends of Stark Pound will cover:
