CT Dog Gone Recovery assisted animal control in the capture of this pup in need of medical care. We are supporting an effort to get this dog medical care so she can live a long and happy life, as she deserves. If possible, please consider donating to her surgery and recovery effort. We would love for a her to be able to enjoy a loving home once she recovers.

Missing in Hartford:
This little guy went missing from the area of his home when he slipped his harness while out for a walk with his Pet Sitter. If you see him, please call one of the numbers on the flyer immediately.
Please do not post the sightings on social media because the friends and family are out looking for him and will not see it. For his safety, please call one of the numbers or both of the numbers as soon as possible. Please give a description of where you saw him and his direction of travel.
He is scared and skittish, but he does love other dogs. If you do happen to see him and you’re with your dog, try to sit down and have him come to your dog.
We just want to get him home safe and sound. Thank you so much please share.

Our CTDGR volunteer Donna gave some suggestion where to search to his family and they found him! We want to thank her for her guidance and assistance!

Missing in Bloomfield-Cottage Grove Road, Cottage Grove Circle and Park Avenue area!
This Pup jumped out of the car at McDonald’s veterinary Hospital yesterday. He is not from this area and has no idea where he is. He’s extremely skittish and running. If seen please do not call out or chase him, it could put him in harms way. Please call the number on the flyer immediately to help get him home.

🎃 KEEP YOUR DOG SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN

Trick-or-treaters are coming—and an open door can give your dog a chance to slip out!

Before the visitors arrive, settle your dog in a comfortable room with the door securely closed.

🐾 Play soft music to help soften outside noises.
🐾 Offer a favorite toy or a safe chew.
🐾 Remind family and guests to keep your dog’s room closed.

A little preparation can prevent a lost dog.

Education is Prevention. Prevention saves Lives.

🐾22 Dogs have been Reunited ! 🐾

At CT Dog Gone Recovery, we are proud to announce that 22 dogs were safely reunited with their families over the last week or so.

Our volunteers have been busier than ever. Prevention is key! Things can happen in a blink of an eye. Try to take precautions by having your dog leashed and having a well fitted collar or harness.

We are incredibly happy for these families and grateful for every successful reunion. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our amazing volunteers, the support of Animal Control Officers and the many community members who shared flyers, reported sightings, and helped along the way.

As we head into fall, please remember that prevention is the best protection:
🐾 Keep your dog securely leashed at all times when outside.
🐾 Check fences, gates, and tie-outs regularly.
🐾 Make sure your dog is wearing identification tags.
🐾 Verify that your microchip information is current.
🐾 Take extra precautions during storms and wind.

Every dog is counting on us to keep them safe.

To the 22 dogs now back where they belong—welcome home! ❤️

❤️Cooper was found and is safe❤️
Our CTDGR volunteer Donna advised the owner to double check the home again everywhere, closets, under beds and couches. The owner found him stuck behind the couch and not making a peep! We want to thank our CTDGR volunteers Donna, Jess and Vanessa for all their help and guidance!

Missing in Waterbury-Wakelee Rd/Wolcott Td Area!

This senior Pup somehow escaped out of the house early this morning and has not returned home. His family has been searching for him frantically and haven’t found him. We are asking neighbors to please check your cameras or if you have seen him please call the number on the flyer immediately to help bring him home. Whatever you do, if you do see him do not call out or chase him he will run, which will put him in harms way.!

Brian is one of our amazing Drone operators who volunteers his time to search for our missing dogs in the Litchfield and Harford County areas.
These drones are extremely expensive. Please help Brian raise funds to replace his drone so he can help search for more lost dogs and people and keep doing what he’s been doing.
