We may be a little behind on posting (it’s been a busy few weeks!), but these accomplishments were definitely too good not to share! 🏆🐴💙

We wrapped up another incredible show season with plenty of ribbons, championships, and proud moments along the way!

At the Crawford County Fair, our lesson horse Summer, did it AGAIN — bringing home Grand Champion in her halter division for the THIRD year in a row! 🏆🏆🏆

Oaklan may be new to the game, but he came out on top, earning Grand Champion in his halter division! 🏆

Our lesson instructor Cassie and our lesson horse Thunder (not pictured) had an awesome fair as well, earning High Point in their riding division! 💙

Ebony had some great rides at the fair and brought home a blue ribbon, and a HUGE congratulations goes to Bailey, who stepped into the show ring for the very first time with Summer and came out with a BLUE RIBBON! 🥇🐴 What a way to start!

Before the fair, we also headed to the Penn Ohio show, where the crew brought home even more wins. Summer took home the Ranch Horse Championship, and Goliath came out on top by winning his carting class! 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of our horses, riders, students, and instructors for everything they accomplished this season.

The show season may be coming to a close, but the work doesn’t stop here. Champions are made in the off-season. 💪🐴

Here’s to celebrating an amazing season — and getting to work for an even better one next year! 🏆💙

Show day for Summer! ☀️🐴

Despite the summer heat, Summer carried three riders today, competing in showmanship and halter to English & Western classes.

A big congratulations to Skyee for placing in the Top 3 in her classes at a very competitive WPRD show! 🎉 Coach Cassie & Ashley are so proud of your growth! Every show is a chance to learn, grow, and get better. Keep up the great work—we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💙

We are so proud of the progress this rider has made during her time in our lesson program. ❤️🐴

From gaining confidence in the saddle to developing her riding skills, it has been wonderful to watch her grow with each lesson. One thing that always stood out was her smile and the enjoyment she brought to every ride.

This video is from one of her most recent lessons, and honestly, it was one of her best. She rode with confidence, showed off how much she has learned, and finished on such a positive note. Seeing moments like this reminds us why we love teaching.

As riders continue to grow, their interests and goals sometimes lead them in new directions, but the knowledge, confidence, and experiences they gain along the way are something they can always carry with them.

We are incredibly proud of how far she has came. 🌟

🐴 Lessons Are an Investment in Character 🐴

Horseback riding is often viewed as a hobby, a sport, or even a competition. And yes, anything with the word “equine” attached to it can be expensive.

But riding lessons are so much more than an investment in a sport—they are an investment in character.

Horses teach responsibility, patience, discipline, perseverance, and humility. They teach us how to work through frustration, celebrate success with grace, and learn from disappointment. They teach us that progress doesn’t happen overnight and that sometimes the greatest growth comes from the rides that don’t go as planned.

There will be wins, there will be losses, and there will be moments when you want to quit. Yet horses have a way of teaching us to get back on, try again, and keep moving forward.

Whether it’s a child’s first lead-line lesson or an adult pursuing a lifelong passion, the lessons learned around horses extend far beyond the arena. They build confidence, work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to connect with and understand another living being.

The ribbons eventually get packed away. The trophies collect dust.

But the character, resilience, and life lessons horses teach remain long after the ride is over.

That’s the true value of riding lessons. ❤️

🌟 We are so proud of our show team rider, Skye! 🌟

Skye had an incredible weekend in the show ring with Thunder, earning:

🥇 1st Place – Showmanship
🥇 1st Place – Western Walk-Trot Pleasure
🥈 2nd Place – Western Walk-Trot Equitation
🏆 Overall Walk-Trot Champion (13 & Under)

What an amazing accomplishment! It has been so rewarding to watch Skye continue to grow in confidence, knowledge, and skill at every show she attends. Her dedication, hard work, and love for her horse are evident every time she steps into the ring.

We are incredibly proud of everything she and Thunder have achieved so far this season and cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for this team. Congratulations, Skye—we are cheering you on every step of the way! ❤️🐴💙

🌟 Instructor Spotlight: Cassie 🌟

Cassie has been involved with horses her entire life, beginning her journey in 4-H and continuing to compete through the years in a variety of disciplines. Alongside her horse, Thunder—the heart and soul of our lesson program—she has done it all, from jumping, trail riding, gaming classes, showmanship and Western events to English disciplines and dressage. Together, they have competed successfully at local shows and prestigious Class A Morgan shows, earning numerous championships, awards, and Horse of the Year honors. Thunder was even featured in the Morgan Horse magazine!

Cassie is passionate about helping riders of all ages and experience levels grow their confidence and skills. Whether working with a first-time rider or helping a more advanced student reach the next level, her lessons are fun, interactive, and focused on developing well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen. From grooming and horse care to riding and horsemanship, Cassie believes in teaching students from the ground up.

Her patience, knowledge, and enthusiasm make her a favorite among our riders, and we are so grateful to have her as part of our program! 🐴❤️

What do kids learn in our lesson program?

A lot more than just riding a horse.

Our students learn how to groom, lead, tack up, carry equipment, care for their horse, and understand the responsibilities that come with being around these amazing animals. Riding is only one piece of the puzzle.

By learning horsemanship both in and out of the saddle, our students develop confidence, responsibility, patience, and respect—skills that extend far beyond the barn.

We’re proud to help create well-rounded horsemen and horsewomen, one lesson at a time. ❤️🐴
