Bryan Animal Services is dedicated to provide the community with quality animal control and assure protection, care, and humane treatment of Bryan animals by providing temporary housing for animals in need, while administering health care and arranging for permanent homes, and offering public education and low cost spay neuter programs to reduce the number of homeless animals, while upholding and enforcing all city, state, and federal laws governing animal welfare.

Whether you're dressing up your four-legged sidekick, handing out candy, or enjoying a cozy night at home, we hope your Halloween is full of happy memories and a little bit of magic! ✨🐾

🧡 Remember to keep the candy away from curious paws, make sure pets have their ID tags, and give them a safe, quiet place if all those spooky visitors get overwhelming.

🎃🐾 SPOOKY SEASON IS HERE — KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN!

Halloween is full of costumes, candy, and spooky fun, but some of our favorite traditions can be scary or even dangerous for our furry family members! 👻🐶🐱

The Bryan Animal Center wants to help you and your pets have a happy, safe, and fright-free Halloween! 🧡

🧡 🎃 HALLOWEEN TRICKS TO AVOID:
❌ Glow sticks: Chewing on them can cause irritation and excessive drooling.
❌ Small plastic toys and decorations: These can be choking hazards or cause intestinal blockages if swallowed.
❌ Candy and chocolate: Many treats are dangerous for pets. Sugar-free candy containing xylitol is especially toxic.

💚 🐾 HALLOWEEN TREATS TO REMEMBER:
✅ Pet-safe treats: Keep the candy bowl for trick-or-treaters and offer your pets treats made just for them!
✅ Updated pet ID: Make sure your pet's collar tags and microchip information are current in case they slip out the door.
✅ Safe costumes: Choose comfortable costumes without restrictive headpieces, loose dangling parts, or anything that affects breathing, vision, or movement. Always supervise your pet.

👻 A FEW EXTRA SPOOKY-SEASON TIPS:
🏡 Keep pets in a quiet, secure room while trick-or-treaters are visiting.
🚪 Be mindful of open doors and gates to prevent escapes.
🎃 Keep candles, cords, and decorations out of reach.
🐕 Never force your pet to wear a costume or participate if they're uncomfortable.

Today is all about the purr-fect companions who make our lives better with their silly antics, midnight zoomies, unexpected cuddles, and just the right amount of cattitude! 😂🐾

From playful kittens looking for their next adventure to sweet adult cats dreaming of a cozy couch and a sunny window, we have cats waiting for someone to call them family. 🐈🏡

Some want to be your personal cuddle buddy. Some prefer to admire you from across the room. And others will make sure you never use the bathroom alone again. 😂❤️ Whatever your cat-loving style, your purr-fect match could be waiting for you!

💔🐾 WE HAVE SOME SAD NEWS ABOUT DANSBY, HE WAS RETURNED TODAY 😔

Our sweet Dansby was returned to the Bryan Animal Center today through no fault of his own. While we’re sad to see him back in the shelter, we know his forever family is still out there. ❤️

Dansby has already spent so much time waiting for his person, and we desperately want to see him get the happy ending he deserves. He deserves a home where he can settle in, feel safe, and be loved for the rest of his life. 🏡🐶

💔 Please help us find Dansby his forever home. Share his story, tell your friends, and help us get his face in front of someone who might be the perfect match for him.

Sometimes the right home just takes a little longer to find. We refuse to give up on Dansby, and we hope you won’t either. 🧡

Our furry guests are counting on us, and we're running low on a few important supplies!

❤️🐱 We could use a little help from our amazing community to keep our animals comfortable, cared for, and happy while they wait for their forever homes.

🛒 OUR CURRENT DONATION NEEDS:

🐱 Canned Shredded Cat Food — Our kitties love those shredded, meaty textures!

🥫 Chunky Canned Cat Food — Any chunky variety is appreciated and helps us keep our kitty guests fed.

📰 Flat Newspaper — Great for helping with everyday animal care and keeping spaces clean.

Every can, every newspaper, and every donation makes a difference! Even a small contribution helps us provide the care our animals deserve. 🥹❤️
