All the foals are officially here, which means NO MORE FOAL WATCH! 🎉

Last night, Jazzy — Luke’s mare — decided she was ready to wrap up the season a little early and blessed us with the sweetest surprise: a beautiful palomino (roan?) filly by Walker, One Lethal Shine. 💛

She may have jumped the schedule, but she sure knew how to make an entrance. Mom and baby are doing great, and we are so thankful for another healthy foal on the ground.

It has been a long season of late nights, early mornings, stall checks, camera watching, and “is tonight the night?” guesses… but seeing these babies hit the ground makes every minute worth it.

Welcome to the world, pretty girl. We cannot wait to watch you grow.

Best Mother’s Day gift ever 💕
Early this morning, Shine gave us a beautiful filly!

This baby is extra special because Shine is the mare that started everything for me (Walker’s mom) and getting this little girl here was quite the journey. Dr. Mende (Wolf Creek Equine) and I put in a lot of work along the way, and there were definitely some struggles, but today made every moment worth it.

A huge thank you to Tia, who has absolutely spoiled Shine throughout this pregnancy — caring for her, loving on her, and giving all the belly rubs to help this baby along. And wow… this little filly did not disappoint! We have a healthy baby girl, and I’m pretty sure she’s going to be a gorgeous palomino ✨

Also, a big thank you to Krissy for helping me keep watch during foal watch!

Foal watch is officially ON

My 24-year-old mare is expecting her final foal, and this one feels extra special. (Walker’s mom) Every little change, every moment—I’m soaking it all in knowing this is the last time we’ll go through this together.

There’s something about foal watch that pulls you in completely… the anticipation, the all night checks, the excitement mixed with just a touch of nerves. It really feels like you’re right there with them every step of the way.
