HITS Cavalier Classic in Culpeper VA was quite an enjoyable week. All in all, we competed in 6 classes and brought home 7 ribbons. Kristin and CauseLuck made their debut in the 1.0m jumpers and took home Champion in the 1.0m TB jumpers. Calvi Des Rosiers Z dipped her toes back into the jumper ring and had lovely rounds (and ribbons!) in the .90m.

Lita had a very successful racing career, earning $128k in 28 starts, after retiring from racing, she went on to be a broodmare. Lita has now started her third career. Lita is everything that a good mare should be - she is easy on the ground, she loves her grooming sessions, she's very agreeable in her turnout situation and she has taken to her new career with ease and has happily and willingly tried to answer every question asked of her. Lita is currently WTC and jumping small fences. She has a very adorable way of going and as she builds her topline and learns connection, she is going to be FANCY! Lita is very suitable for a junior or ammie working with a trainer. Lita was slated to head to RRP 2025 in the broodmare division but her current rider had the opportunity to bring her personal mount so Lita is very casually looking for her new best human. Lita is currently barefoot. No vices.

Charm retired after 14 starts with over $67k in earnings. She has enjoyed a bit of down time at the farm while she has packed on the pounds and now she is ready to get her second career started. Charm has had a few post track rides and has proven to be quite unflappable and extremely easy going. She has a very natural carriage and a lovely hind end. Her rides have been extremely uneventful and she really aims to please. In the arena, she quietly WTC and is starting to understand the concept of connection and contact. She will make up to be a lovely mount for a junior or adult working with a trainer. In the barn, she has lovely manners and wants to be in your pocket. She thoroughly enjoys her grooming sessions and wants to make sure that you know she understands what cookies are. She is currently transitioning to being barefoot and she is taking to that extremely well. No vices. RRP eligible.

Jump4Fun at Upperville was a blast! Great rides (and blue ribbons!) had by all! Such a lovely venue with great courses! Congratulations to Karen and , Jessi and Under the Influence, Kristin and Causeluck and Jen and Calvi for their lovely efforts yesterday in the jumper ring! Pending. Piper is just the cutest with her adorable personality and cute expressions. Piper has been lightly started and has been an absolute dream to work with. With her willing nature and natural carriage she has picked up on what is being asked of her very quickly. Her trot just floats and her canter has a a lovely cadence to it. Currently she is WTC and has popped over a few small fences. Piper is much more ‘whoa’ than ‘go’ and with her quiet way of going, she would make up to be a fabulous hunter mount. Super easy on the ground. Agreeable undersaddle. Ammie or junior friendly working with a trainer. Currently barefoot. Piper does crib but it is easily controlled with a collar. Located in Brandywine Md.

It’s been a fun back to back last two weeks of showing to kick off the 2025 season! Everyone had great rides at HITS Culpeper - Jessi Stong and Under the Influence had their rated show debut AND stepped up to the .80m. This pair is going to be making moves this season! Kristin McCann and Causeluck cruised around the .90m tracks with great ribbons and lovely courses. Jen Tabisz and Lorien made their show debut - this green(ish) bean is going to be a cool one to watch! (… and of course we are always excited about the pineapples in the ring 😂 🍍)
