In support of World Environment Day, our Operations and Transport teams across the UK came together for a site wide litter pick.

With bags in hand, teams rolled up their sleeves across both warehouse sites, showing great teamwork and a shared commitment to making a positive environmental impact.

With the weather on our side, it was a great chance to step away from the day to day, come together as teams, and support a worthwhile cause.

Going green for Mental Health Awareness 💚

Our team at the MWI Stoke warehouse came together to show their support for Mental Health Awareness by wearing green, the international colour for representing mental health awareness.

We spent time outside, connecting together and had a little visit from the ice cream van!

Small moments like these are a reminder of the importance of looking after ourselves and each other, creating space for conversation, connection, and support in the workplace.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day a little brighter.

In honour of Mental Health Awareness Month, we asked former veterinary nurses in our team what advice they’d give to a stressed veterinary nurse.

Their reminder? Veterinary nursing can be incredibly stressful, but it also comes with moments that make it all worthwhile. The wins, the bonds, the patients you help, and the difference you make often outweigh the toughest days.

Sometimes the best support is encouragement, understanding, and a reminder that you’re doing more good than you realise. And only offer a hug if you know they're a hugger 😅

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and at MWI, we’re taking time to pause, reflect, and focus on what helps us feel our best, not just professionally, but as whole people.

This week, we’re embracing our Get Outside Challenge. The challenge is simple: step outside and take a moment for yourself.

Whether it’s a walk around the block, coffee on the porch, time with a pet, or a quick reset between meetings, getting outdoors can help reduce stress, boost mood, improve focus, and create space for meaningful connection.

It doesn’t have to be a perfect workout or a long hike. It all counts.

This week, we encourage our team members to step away from the busy day, get outside, and reconnect with what matters most.

"So you're basically a vet, right?" 🤦

Sound familiar? This Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month, we're celebrating the vet nurses who've heard this a thousand times — and showing the world what they really do. Spoiler: it's a lot. 💙

Veterinary nurses are still one of the most underrecognised professions in animal healthcare. They're not assistants. They're not "almost vets." They are qualified, registered professionals who are essential to the care and welfare of every patient that walks through the practice door.

May is Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month, and it exists for exactly this reason — to champion the RVNs and student nurses who give so much to this profession. This month, we’re sharing stories from our own MWI team members who have previously worked in practice. Real moments from practice life and everything that happens behind the scenes.

This month is a chance for all of us in the profession to champion the recognition that vet nurses have earned — not just within our practices, but in the eyes of the public too.
