"Home At Last Dog Rescue was founded in North Wales PA, in 2008 as an all age, all dog breed, Dog Rescue. We are a group of dog-loving volunteers whose goal is to save the lives of homeless dogs suffering in high-kill shelters, puppy-mills, as well dogs in other unfortunate circumstances. We are not a shelter, thus we have no central location for the dogs we rescue. It is through volunteer foster homes, mostly located in the Greater Philadelphia, PA Region that we are able to provide homes for our dogs. Our dogs remain in foster homes until they are matched and adopted into the right home. In doing this, we hope to provide an alternative to the purchase of breeder and pet store dogs as well as prevent dogs from entering the overwhelmed shelter system or get into the wrong hands."

We made it to Friday, TGIFF! Bark if you're ready for the weekend! This week's pawsitive pupdate is submitted by Susan, featuring her pup Teddy! 🐾

"I adopted Teddy (formerly Buddy) in September of 2022.
I had recently lost my dog of 17 years and found an aching for a smiling face to greet me every day. I knew I wanted to rescue so a friend suggested HAL. The second I met Teddy at a meet and greet I knew he was mine. Teddy has evolved into a funny loyal and loving member of our family. It’s hasn’t been easy but so worth it. He still struggles with strangers but once he knows you becomes the best cuddle buddy. Never met a toys he didn’t destroy (gotta get that squeaker) in five minutes or a food he didn’t like.
Thanks so much to the wonderful people that brought him here and gave us the perfect dog 😃😃"

Have you adopted from HAL? Share your pup's Furever Friday story to be featured on our social media! Send pictures and a pawsitive pupdate to [email protected].

Emerald? Penny? Honestly, call me whatever you want, just make sure I’m included! 😂

I’m a 1-year-old, 31-pound Beagle mix with ENERGY to burn! I need to run, run, RUN before I’m ready to curl up with my favorite humans and snooze the day away. 💤

I am:

✅ House & crate-trained (getting better at the leash!)

✅ Good with dogs

✅ Good with kids

My hobbies include chasing squirrels and rabbits, and barking at suspicious leaves 🍂 I gotta say, fall may be my favorite season with all these leaves putting on a show for me!

I’m a total "people girl" who loves car rides (when I’m safely secured, of course!) and claiming my spot on the couch. Your lap? Great! The closer the better. 😇

I’m still learning the ropes in regards to training. But I’m eager to learn and respond beautifully to positive reinforcement! I’d love a fenced yard, a family who’s home often, and a patient person willing to help me learn at my own pace.

I just want to be part of your world. Pleaseeee!

🐾🧼 SUNDAY SUPPLY – WE’RE IN A SUDSY SITUATION! 🧼🐾

This week’s Supply Sunday request isn’t glamorous, but it’s something we go through like CRAZY at the rescue!

🫧 DISH SOAP, DISH SOAP & MORE DISH SOAP! 🫧

When you have as many rescue dogs as we do, the washing NEVER stops!

🐶 Endless piles of food and water bowls

🧸Toys that need constant cleaning

🍴 Buckets, scoops, and feeding supplies

And just when we finish washing everything… it’s time to start ALL OVER AGAIN! Keeping everything clean and sanitized is a huge part of keeping our rescue pups healthy and happy. And with so many dogs in our care, we go through an unbelievable amount of dish soap!

WE NEED LOTS AND LOTS OF DISH SOAP!

Any brand is appreciated, and those BIG bottles are especially helpful!

🛒 WANT TO SEND SOME SUDS OUR WAY? You can purchase dish soap directly from our Amazon Wish List and have it shipped right to us!

👇👇👇

https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1KAGCYI4618AU?ref_=wl_share

🛍️ PREFER TO SHOP LOCALLY? HAVE SOME EXTRA AT HOME? That works too! If you have unopened bottles of dish soap sitting around your house, or you’d rather grab a bottle (or five! 😂) while shopping at your favorite store, we would LOVE to have them!

You can drop off your donations at ANY of our upcoming rescue events! Our volunteers will happily accept them!

Even one bottle makes a difference, and every donation helps us stretch our rescue dollars a little further so we can continue saving dogs in need. Our pups may not do the dishes, but they sure know how to dirty them! 😂

Thank you for always coming through for our rescue dogs! We truly couldn’t do what we do without you! ❤️🐾
