Your cat has found the linen closet. It is no longer your linen closet. 😂🧡

Honestly at this point we just fold around them. If your cat has claimed a ridiculous spot as their throne this month, drop a photo in the comments because we NEED to see it. 👇🐱

Green pasture is great, but it’s not always complete nutrition.🐴

As horses transition to spring grass, they may still need support for minerals and balanced energy.

Pasture alone doesn’t always cover everything.

From feed to daily routines, keeping your horse feeling their best starts long before the ride.

If you’re updating your routine for the season, it’s a good time to stop in and get set up for May!

Memorial Day Weekend Pet Safety Reminder

As Memorial Day weekend begins and the smell of barbecue fills the air, many families will be celebrating with food, friends, and fun.

While it's tempting to include our furry family members in the
festivities, holiday foods can sometimes lead to serious health problems, especially pancreatitis in dogs.

Please avoid feeding table scraps, fatty meats, bones, burgers, hot dogs, or rich BBQ foods to your pets. Even a small amount can upset sensitive stomachs and trigger pancreatitis.

Keep your pet on their regular diet and kindly remind guests not to share food with them.

With visitors and outdoor activity, pets can also become stressed or overwhelmed. Provide a quiet, safe indoor area where they can relax comfortably away from the excitement.

Know the warning signs of pancreatitis:
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Loss of appetite
• Lethargy
• Abdominal pain or discomfort

If your pet shows any of these symptoms, please seek veterinary care promptly.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and healthy Memorial Day weekend from Compassion Veterinary Clinic.

Tip for May: if your cat is drinking less water than usual, try switching from a regular bowl to a shallow, wide dish.

Cats' whiskers are sensitive and some actually avoid deep bowls because of it. Also, wet food can be a great way to boost hydration without them ever touching the water bowl! 💧
