Our mission is to save stray, abandoned, shelter, and owner surrender dogs of all breeds and ages by placing them in qualified, caring, lifelong homes. The ultimate goal of DSR is to develop a network of united supporters to transform as many unwanted dogs as possible into companion pets in appropriate homes.

Dog Star Rescue is so proud to have partnered with local shelters to save all of these dogs in the last year. ♥️

Shelters and rescues in CT and beyond are beyond full, so when we can help, we closely partner to give these dogs the happily ever afters they deserve. From two dumped puppies we recently took in and spayed/neutered, to dogs that needed very special homes and medical intervention - together we are making a local difference, one dog at a time.

Share, share, share! Help us find Nora's forever home!🏡 Nora is one of our resident tripods who has been waiting far too long to be picked.

Once she is settled in, Nora is loving, silly, sweet and has a lovely lowkey personality. She loves to snooze in the sun all day long.

Nora is looking for a specific type of home who will be patient, kind and respectful as she finds her footing in a new environment. For this reason, Nora prefers a home without kiddos.

Once she's comfortable, she's all LOVE 💗 Nora has won over the hearts of countless volunteers in our rescue, and we can't wait for her adopter to come along and feel the same way!
