📞 Mando said he’d help cover the phones this week… but so far he’s mostly just been caught snacking at the desk. 😼🍿

Our full-time receptionist is on vacation, and without her, things at the front desk are a little quieter (and a little more covered in cat hair). If you call and don’t get through right away, please leave a message — we’ll return your call as soon as we can!

Wait times may be a bit longer than usual, but we appreciate your patience and understanding. Normal operations will resume next week!

Good news! We are open today! The planned power outage for today did not happen, so we’re here and operating as usual.

The outage has been tentatively rescheduled for tomorrow, but we won’t cancel appointments unless it actually happens.

📱 If you have an appointment tomorrow, please keep an eye on your phone for any texts or calls from us in case we do lose power. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more!

🐾 April is National Heartworm Awareness Month! 🦟❤️

Did you know that over a million dogs in the U.S. have heartworm disease? 😱 This serious and potentially fatal condition is transmitted by mosquitoes, making year-round prevention a must!

✅ Prevention is key! Monthly preventatives can protect your pet from heartworms and may also guard against other parasites like fleas and intestinal worms—depending on the product you choose.

Jack, my assistant for the day, came to work with his mom and has already climbed the corporate ladder—literally—by standing on my desk. At this rate, he might be promoting himself by the end of the day.

I guess when you bring in extra help, you never know what you’re going to get! Should I start updating his job title now? 😆

🌸 Spring Allergies or Flea Allergies? Know the Difference! 🚫🐾

Is your pet constantly scratching, licking, or sneezing? It can be tough to tell whether it's seasonal allergies or flea allergy dermatitis (FAD). Here's what to look for:

🌿 Spring Allergies:
- Itching, sneezing, watery eyes, and skin irritation
- Excessive scratching, licking, or chewing on paws or skin

🚫 Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD):
- Intense itching, redness, and inflammation (especially near the tail and back)
- Possible flea dirt (tiny black specks) on skin or fur

🐶🐱 Prevention is key! Make sure your pet is on a vet-recommended flea prevention regimen. If you're noticing any of these symptoms, give us a call at 📞 724-793-1779 to schedule an appointment!

As the flowers bloom and the weather warms, many pets start to feel more uncomfortable and itchy. If your pet has been off flea and tick prevention during the winter months, it can be tricky to tell if these new symptoms are due to fleas or environmental allergies.
