Hi everyone,
First, thank you to my loyal clients who continue to respect my time, policies, and most importantly - my family situation right now. Your support and understanding mean the world to me. I appreciate everyone who has reached out.
As many of you know, I've recently had some serious family medical issues arise. This has required me to reschedule appointments and take limited time off to take care of my husband. I truly appreciate the understanding and kindness.
That said, I do need to address some ongoing issues that are affecting my ability to operate fairly and efficiently:
📣Reschedules Are Not Dog Swaps
If I had to move your appointment due to my family emergency/followup appts, the new time is for that same dog. Please don't try to switch in a different dog or add on an additional one- those rescheduled appointments are not a free-for-all. This practice is inconsiderate and puts strain on my already limited availability.
I've been working extra hours -even on days I'm normally closed - to get everyone rescheduled after recent cancellations due to family emergencies. l'm doing my absolute best to be fair and get every pet back in as quickly as possible.
Please don't take advantage of that by trying to swap in a different dog than the one originally scheduled. These rescheduled appointments are not an open slot to reshuffle who gets groomed. I need to honor the time that was set aside for each individual pet.
📣No-Shows & Late Cancellations
I send confirmation texts 48 and 24 hours before every appointment. If you don't show up or cancel last-minute, that spot is lost - not just for me, but for someone else who could've used it.
❗️Let me be clear: I'm not your parent, and I will not be calling you when you're 30+ minutes late. Once your reminders are sent, it's your responsibility to show up!
There is a no-show and late cancellation fee - as clearly stated on my website and posted in the shop - and this is not just my policy. Most grooming shops in the area charge the same type of fees, and for good reason.
❗️Every client gets an automated reminder text with a link to click to confirm the appointment. Please confirm, OR if you need to cancel/reschedule simply reply to the text saying so. From now on, any appointments not confirmed the evening before will be considered not showing & will be canceled; and the no-show/late cancel fee will apply.
❤️🐾 I love what I do and feel incredibly lucky to work with so many wonderful pets. But running a small business alone, especially during a tough time, requires clear boundaries. Thank you to everyone who respects those boundaries and continues to show patience, kindness, and support.
