We wanted to take a moment and post about some new changes and announcements to our salon before the summer months finally hit! ☀️

🐾WE WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING WALK INS FOR NAIL TRIMS!🐾
Unfortunately, we have to politely ask all of you to start making appointments even for nail trims. This is due to us only having one groomer, and having people just walking in, disrupts her grooming. We want to give everyone a great experience and a solid schedule helps us do that! You can message us directly on here to book, or call 724-675-8016! Thank you all for understanding. 💗

•Our groomer is leaving for vacation on June 14th, and is returning on June 23rd.🏖️ With that being said, she does still have a few appointments available before the 14th. So grab those while you can!! Otherwise you will have to wait until the end of June into July.

•❌We are NOT ACCEPTING any NEW CAT CLIENTS at this time. ❌ If you and your cat are currently a client with us, you are welcome to stay so please do not think otherwise!!! We just can’t take on any new ones due to cats taking up such long time slots and requiring a lot more safety measures. 🐱

And lastly…. Drum Roll please…. 🥁🥁🥁

•We have a very exciting announcement coming in June…. Can you guess what it is?! Here’s a hint: it’s a new add on service available for dogs! 🐶🌈

We truly thank you all for your continued support. We love being able to do what we’re passionate about every single day, and seeing all of the furry faces walking in our door. Thank you for trusting us with your pets. 💗🐾 This is only the beginning… we can’t wait to upgrade so many things in the future and make HHR&GS even bigger!

Max was adopted from us back in 2024, and the first dog to ever set foot in our grooming room when we opened later that year. He is still on a 6 week schedule with us to this day! Talk about loyalty am I right?! We love you Max!❤️🐾

Speaking of loyalty… we have been creating some loyalty punch cards… but we want some input from our clients. What types of things would you like to see included?

A percentage off of grooms? A free piece of HHR&GS MERCH?? A free add on service?? A free nail trim?? LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW! ⬇️💗

We will be starting loyalty cards on June 1st as a way to give back to you guys for your continued support. Everytime you come in, you will get a hole punch in your card. 🙂 after a certain amount of appointments, you get a reward! 🥰

•Wash
•De-Shed
•Ear Cleaning
•Nail Trim & pad cleanout
•Gland Expression ( if asked. )
It just means no haircut!😊

LETS TALK NAILS! 🐶 💅🏻
We get a lot of people that come in and don’t seem to be fully knowledgeable on their dogs nail needs... So, we wanted to share some very helpful information with you guys, and answer some common questions that we get here at our salon.
• “ Why do my dogs nails still look long after being trimmed? “
‼️ QUIKS QUIKS QUIKS!!! ‼️
What is a quik? A quik is the line in a dogs nail that you absolutely cannot go shorter than. And that’s because quiks contain NERVES, and BLOOD VESSELS.
So too short = 🩸… and we DON’T want that for your pet! Please do not bring your pets in with nails curling into their feet and expect a miracle.. we can only go as short as their quiks let us! ❤️‍🩹

❌ LESS NAIL TRIMS = LONGER QUIKS!!
✅ MORE NAIL TRIMS & STARTING YOUNG = SHORTER QUIKS & SHORTER CLIPS!🐾

•“ Well how long should we wait in between nail trims? “
It depends on your dog, and how quickly they grow! We have some dogs that come in every 2 weeks for a quick little touch up! Coming ONCE or TWICE a YEAR, is completely unacceptable. Your poor pup is suffering tremendously.

So set those pups up on a nail schedule NOW!! Let’s keep those nails up off the ground and rounded as much as possible! Nails are just as important as anything else with your dogs health. They need their feet more than anything!

•TOO LONG OF NAILS CAN CAUSE:•
•Breakage
•Nails become imbedded in paw pads
•Anxiety Chewing
•Pain when walking
•Joint pain & damage
And so much more!

Stop in and ask your groomer how you can better your pups nail health now! 🐾❤️

LILLY❤️🐾 got not only her first ever groom with US today, but her FIRST GROOM EVER!! And she did amazing. Such a beautiful girl. We were so happy to have her. Come back soon Lilly!💗
