🦷 Not All Dental Disease Is Visible

This tooth was recently removed from a patient, and it’s a great example of why regular dental exams are so important.

While part of the tooth appeared relatively normal, one root had severe decay and infection hidden beneath the gumline. This led to a painful abscess that wasn’t obvious from the outside.

Pets are incredibly good at hiding dental pain, so even if they’re still eating and acting normal, they may be dealing with significant discomfort.

Signs of dental disease can include:
• Bad breath
• Dropping food while eating
• Pawing at the mouth
• Red or swollen gums
• Decreased interest in chew toys
• Facial swelling

Annual dental exams help us identify problems before they become painful infections and can help keep your pet happier and healthier for years to come.

This sweet 9-year-old boy is searching for a calm, loving home to spend his golden years in. He is neutered, incredibly sweet, non-reactive, and great with kids. ❤️

He is blind, so he would do best in a quiet home where the furniture stays in the same place to help him safely navigate and feel comfortable 😊

He may not see the world the same way anymore, but he still has so much love left to give to the right person. 🐶✨

✨ Must have two years of veterinary experience

You may recognize this beautiful young lady — and some of you may remember seeing her around the clinic over the years! This is Eva, Dr. Patty’s daughter, and we’re so excited to celebrate all of her incredible accomplishments 🎓✨

Just like her brother Grant, Eva has officially been accepted to medical school! She graduated as a Top 10 Senior, Outstanding Data Analytics Senior, Honors College Dean’s Award recipient, and Goldwater Scholar. Eva will be attending the University of Washington School of Medicine through the WWAMI program in Bozeman!

Her partner, Henry, graduated with a degree in Biology and will be attending Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. We are so proud of both of them and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish in the future. 🤍🐾
