We are so excited to host Wentworth Hunt! This will be a great opportunity for anyone who has said they would like to try hunting

Wanting to see if you and your horse would enjoy hunting? Wanting to get your mount more fit, or better acclimated to riding in a large group? Or just looking for a fun thing to do with your horse and friends on a Wednesday morning? Join us for our Houndless Roadings!

Wednesdays starting 7/16 through the start of informal season (8/13), we will have our mounted meeting at 9:45 and will move off promptly at 10am. Rides will be about an hour and a half, and we will go whatever pace people are comfortable with, splitting into fields if necessary. Cappers (non members) are welcome and encouraged! This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in trying out fox hunting!

7/16 will be at Swan Brook Equestrian Center. We hope to see you there!

Tom Davis will be at Swan Brook Friday July 18th! We have plenty of late afternoon slots for those wanting to get a lesson in after work. $110 for an hour private, let me know if you’d like to ride!

We are so lucky to have the S**o Salmon Restoration Alliance and Hatchery releasing some beautiful adult salmon into Swan Brook the other day! Swan Brook runs into the S**o River, and SSRA is working to help repopulate Atlantic Salmon.

Swan Brook riders had a fantastic time at the Wentworth Hunt Spring Hunter Pace! We lucked out by beating the rain. A huge thank you to the hunt volunteers for running such a fun pace!

Swan Brook had a fantastic day at the Vienna Farm 2 Phase! Emily and Comet had their first show together and placed 2nd in their Intro B class and won their tadpole 2 phase, as well as won low score champion of all 2 phase divisions!
Jen and Cadbury also had their first show together, placing 3rd in their intro B test and 2nd in their tadpole 2 phase.
Anna and Duke had a great start to their season, winning their elementary 2 phase division!
Karina and Lily had a bold, rideable dressage and show jumping to finish 3rd in their elementary 2 phase!
I’m so proud of everyone for their hard work over the winter paying off, and giving their horses confident, happy rides!

Horses are fed, barn aisle is a balmy 34°. The boys helped dump grain and fill hay nets, as we now move snow for paths to the paddocks by hand 😩 thankfully it’s 10+” of light fluffy stuff. Pray to the Kubota gods that our tractor is fixed before this next round of snow! Horses will be turned out in a few hours once the snow stops ❄️

This week’s unmounted session, Conformation and movement! We will be learning about how to assess good and bad conformation and how it can affect movement. This will both be in the warmth of the viewing room and in the indoor as we use several horses at the barn to assess conformation and movement. $35 per person, we will begin at 2 and it will run about an hour and a half. Let me know if you plan to come!
