“Merten” SC Haymaker Judge 7yo AQHA gelding
16.2 HDs brown with rabicano
PC Frenchmans Hayday, Judge Cash and Bogie Biankus on his papers. Bred, Born and raised by my mom and myself. We know everything about him. Still own his sire and dam. If my daughter wasn’t interested in cutting we wouldn’t be selling him.
I futuritied him very lightly and locally his 5yo year he won checks almost every time he was entered. Has a big stride that it very smooth and easy to ride turning style. His dam is a 1D barrel horse still competitive with open 1D times with an intermediate youth. His sire is a multiple 1D, pro rodeo money earner and winner. Brenda Mays had him for 6+ months the end of his 2yo year, he got hauled to TX, AZ, CA.
The end of his 5 yo year I stopped competing on him because my 8 yo daughter started riding him and I wanted him to go her pace for her. His 6yo year he was ridden lightly by my daughter and turned out quite a bit with some jump rides over the fall and winter by a couple of friends. He was in the 2D with both of them. He is very easy to ride and run. I gave lessons on him to a couple of beginners. Has been through the Ryan Lovendahl/ KC Groves clinic 1 time with me and they let my daughter participate last year. Has been turned out in all sorts of herd arrangements. Hauls and stalls without issue. He’s had his stifles done proactively 6/24, after recommended by a body worker, stifles x-rayed clean. He is a cribber but it’s well controlled with a cribbing collar. Located in Bend, OR
Twenty Five Kay.
