FOSTER NEEDED! 🚨
Two dogs from Cairo, Egypt need a home.
Meet Nena and Flaca. Their rescuer, Kate, says they were in danger of being killed in a severely overcrowded shelter, and that Nena’s siblings did not survive. She has been boarding both dogs in Egypt for over a year while working toward a safer future for them.
🤎 Nena is the brown dog, about 1 year old.
🖤 Flaca is the black dog, about 2 years old.
They’re now scheduled to arrive in California on November 5. Kate lives in an apartment in Los Angeles and doesn’t have room to house them, so she urgently needs help finding fosters or adopters.
Kate describes them as medium-to-large mixed breeds who are loving, playful and friendly with children. She says both are spayed and current on vaccines. They’ll need patient homes willing to help with potty training and settling into life indoors.
Nena has some additional care needs: Kate reports that she survived distemper and has a heart-valve condition requiring annual monitoring. Anyone considering her should discuss her veterinary records and ongoing care needs with Kate.
There is no placement fee for a safe, loving foster or adoptive home. Kate is also willing to help with transport, so please reach out to discuss your location.
Our rescue partner’s kennels are full, so we can’t offer them placement through the lounge. We’re sharing their story and reaching out to other rescues in our network to help them find somewhere to go.
