Animal Friends of Barbour County Animal Friends of Barbour County is volunteer run no-kill animal shelter in rural West Virginia. Con Our hours are by appointment only.

Animal Friends of Barbour County realized their dream of a brand new shelter facility just in time for Christmas of 2011. The shelter was built, in full, by a generous and anonymous member of our community. We have four dedicated cat rooms, 28 dog runs, in house laundry and grooming station.

She has been separated from her sister, who already found a home and now finds herself in the noisy shelter. Surely there is someone out there who is looking for a sweet little girl. Oh sweet Jasmine, you stole our hearts. This one year old terrier mix is friendly and enjoys the company of dogs and cats. She is house trained and weighs 28 pounds. Jasmine will be a perfect house pet for the lucky family who takes her home. Looking for a part-time animal care worker to work with our shelter cats. Must be able to lift 40lbs! Duties are cleaning and caring for the cats daily needs. The hours are in the mornings from 8 to 2 or 3, we do the cats every morning Mon thru Sun , we just need to add a part-time person for extra help.
