Second Throw

Second Throw Gently used tennis balls for the game every dog loves: fetch! We're on a mission to keep tennis balls out of landfills.

All orders come with a free recycling label to send chewed-up balls back, then we grind them into new tennis courts & arena footing.

This is what a good afternoon looks like when 100 tennis balls show up at your door. One very happy girl, an entire backyard covered in bright yellow, and zero interest in doing anything else for the rest of the day.

Every ball started out on a real court before it made its way into this box, so she's getting the same bounce and fuzz as a brand new can for a fraction of the price and a lot less waste. When they wear out, they can head right back to us to be recycled again.

Showing Becca the inside of a Second Throw box was a mistake, in the best way. 100 tennis balls later, every summer trip now revolves around fetch, whether that's a trail, an open field, or a lake with a launcher in hand.

These balls already had a first life on a real court before we rescued and repacked them, so Becca gets the same bounce for way less. When hers wear out, they go back to us to be recycled again instead of sitting in a landfill.

A day in Juno's life apparently includes breakfast, a box of 100 Second Throw balls, and a full sprint down the hallway to deliver one straight to mom.

Juno is doing exactly what these balls are made for. Real tennis balls that already had a first life on the court, now upcycled into the best part of a dog's day. Less plastic waste, more zoomies.

What happens when you give two dogs 100 tennis balls in the middle of nowhere? Ask Mariah and her pups, who turned a gravel lot somewhere gorgeous into their own personal ball pit.

Every ball in that box played its first life on a real court before we rescued it, cleaned it up, and shipped it out for round two. Same bounce, same fuzz, a fraction of the cost of a store-bought toy, and a lot less plastic waste ending up in landfills.

100 upcycled tennis balls, one seriously good day for the dogs. Link in bio to get your own box.

100 tennis balls, two dogs, and one very brave toddler helper. This is what happens when a Second Throw box shows up at Jenni's place

These balls already had a whole career on pro courts before they got rescued and repacked for backyard duty. Cheaper than a pack of squeaky toys, way more entertaining, and when they're finally worn out we take them back and recycle them again.

Dog mama status: secured.

I showed up to camp with a box of 100 tennis balls and one important question: Which dog is going to be the most excited?

Everyone had their predictions. Everyone was confident. And then the box opened. The reactions did not disappoint.

But plot twist... I might have been the most excited one there.

Not just because the dogs were having the time of their lives, but because Second Throw gives used tennis balls a second life instead of letting them go to waste. And once they're worn out from years of fetch, they can be sent back to be recycled again.

It's a simple idea that keeps tennis balls in use longer and out of landfills. The dogs loved the tennis balls. I loved the mission.

Captain Flint has a bit of a unique relationship with tennis balls.

Sure, he enjoys a good game of fetch. But when we're near the water, his favorite thing to do is drop tennis balls into the lake, ocean, or river and watch them float around like tiny buoys.

Eventually, after enough adventures, those balls get waterlogged, worn out, and ready for retirement. The cool thing about Second Throw is that the story doesn't end there.

These tennis balls were already given a second life as fetch toys, and when they're no longer suitable for play, we can send them back to be recycled into materials used for tennis courts and horse footing.

Captain Flint gets his floating toys. The planet gets a little less waste. Sounds like a win-win to us.

Your dog doesn't care if the tennis ball is brand new. They're just excited that you threw it.

That's what makes Second Throw such a smart idea. Instead of letting gently used tennis balls go to waste, they're collected, cleaned, and given a second life as affordable fetch toys for dogs.

The result? More playtime for your dog and fewer tennis balls headed for landfills. Simple. Practical. Better for everyone.
