We were called by the City Shelter about this little guy but we didnt know anything was wrong with his leg. We immediately said yes, thinking we would send him to WA, but quickly realized we were in over our heads & we couldn't send him to WA with these issues. We reached out to & they immediately said yes, they would help.

Well, I offered to foster after hearing his multitude of diagnosis & I'm so glad we did because he is such a ray of sunshine.

Foster urgently needed for 4 small puppies in Bakersfield.
Will be euthanized by end of day without commitment.

Urgent: Puppy & Dog Fosters Needed!
Unity K9 Express Rescue needs short-term fosters for adorable pups waiting for transport to their rescues outside of Kern County!

Time commitment: just 1–2 weeks!
We’ll provide everything you need—you provide the cuddles.

Fostering gives them the love and safety they need before heading off to their rescues where they will find their forever families.

We just had the most heartwarming day at Paws & Claws Side by Side over at Magnolia Place! A massive thank you to the wonderful team there for welcoming us and our rescue dogs with open arms. It was such a joy to see the smiles on everyone's faces as the pups brought a little extra love and joy to the community. 🐾💖

And a huge shoutout to Bakersfield City Animal Shelter for letting us "borrow" a couple of adorable puppies for the event! They were absolute stars and loved all the attention. 🐶✨ Seeing the connection between our furry friends and the residents was truly magical and reminded us just how powerful these bonds can be.

We’re so grateful for opportunities like this that allow us to share the joy of rescue dogs with others. Let’s keep spreading the love and positivity! Can’t wait for more events like this in the future!

They are young and one preferred a bottle vs. mush!
If you know how to bottle feed or are interested in In learning please DM us.
We provide everything you need and the bottle babies only stay a few days up to a week before heading out to our rescue partners.
Puppy season didn’t really stop here in Bakersfield but it’s about to get much worse the next few months.

Fostering puppies teaches kids about the responsibilities of dog ownership AND you get all the fun too! I think our newest Unity foster pup is pretty happy she got a 5 year old (human) foster brother, don’t you think? 🐾
