erpopulation by having their own pets spayed or neutered and encouraging friends, family, neighbors and colleagues to do the same! We are 100% foster based, which means we do not operate a shelter. Yesterday, this sweet senior bulldog was surrendered during Owner Surrender Day at a Texas shelter — this is a heartbreaking day every week where every owner-surrendered dog is euthanized on intake. His family had a plan that didn’t include him. They packed the U-Haul… but left him behind.

But today? He’s safe, snuggled into a cozy bed, snoring away thanks to a foster who said yes!

Meet Mojo, named because even at 10 years old, he’s showing us that he's still got it. Young at heart, full of charm, still spry and clearly confident in his bulldog ways — he’s settling into his second chance with New Hope Animal Rescue.

Age is not a disease. Senior dogs deserve love, comfort, and loyalty in return for the years they’ve given as companions to their humans.

Thanks to a caring shelter staff member who reached out, and a foster who opened their home, Mojo is safe — and ready to show the world he's still got his spark.

Welcome Kangaroo to New Hope! 🐾

This long-legged cutie was abandoned at a church but thanks to a kind volunteer, she’s now safe in a foster home. Kangaroo is small-breed mix, likely to be 25-30 lbs full grown. At 3 1/2 months old, she's already sleeping quietly in her crate, mastering potty training, and winning everyone over with her sweet, snuggly personality.

She loves chewy treats, making cat friends, and cozy cuddle time. We can’t wait to help her find the loving home she deserves!

Swish is still looking for a forever home that understands her needs—like ongoing skin allergy care, her “swishy” heart murmur (which will require occasional cardiology check-ins), and a lifestyle that doesn’t involve stairs or long walks. She needs someone who’ll keep her safe from overheating and love her for exactly who she is.

Swish isn’t your average dog—she’s got bulldog swagger, moves at her own mosey-paced speed, and needs immediate outdoor access for potty breaks (no walks down the hall to an elevators or lobby exit, and no staircases.). She thrives with a comfy routine, soft beds, and someone who will keep up with her vet care to keep her feeling her best.

Bonus points if your home has a friendly dog buddy for her to hang with—or you’re home enough to give her all the attention she so politely demands. Chickens? Optional. Swagger? Non-negotiable.

Two Good Foster Dogs. Zero Drama 🐾

Meet Momo [left] and Sundance [right]—two rescued dogs fostered together who know how to bring the energy during playtime and the calm when it counts. They're just two happy, dog-social pups enjoying a chew side by side in this video.
