The right family will make the drive.
I've seen this time and again with adopters of my fosters. Like last night with Blink's adopter. He drove nearly six hours yesterday to meet Blink. Because to him Blink was worth it, even with the chance that they possibly wouldn't match up (I didn't have much doubt).

I've had people back out on meeting other past fosters because a thirty minute drive was too long. I'm not bashing those people, but I also wasn't even a little disappointed that they backed out either. If my fosters aren't 'worth' the drive to meet them, than I honestly feel better that those people missed out.

Because the perfect family will make that drive.

Last year I had a couple drive down from Fort Worth to meet my ASR litter (Ari, Sebastian, Absalom, Ziv and Golden Graham's). She ended up adopting Ziv and Sebastian, and she sends me updates monthly. She adores them so much, and they love her just as much.

That's the kind of love and dedication I want for my foster babies. It's what they deserve.
