MEET LAVERNE!!!! This spunky pup is one of our longest stay fosters and we would love for her to find her forever family this summer. She is the best pal for your summer activities. Swimming? ✅ Paddleboarding? ✅ Watching a movie in air conditioning? ✅

So why is she still with us? No sugar coating: she can get overwhelmed in places like outdoor patios or dog parks, so she’s not the sort of dog who’s ready to do all that. She does well with dogs who are calm or otherwise mostly neutral in response to her bouncy energy, but has a harder time with dogs that are…well…just like her 🙃 For example, like a lot of other dogs, she sometimes thinks the fence is a war zone. But she loves going out on the lake, running around with her foster siblings and playing fetch, going on car rides, hanging out with her people, and meeting nice friends.
