Today we celebrate the one holiday tradition where we spend 4 hours building a cookie house…and your dog spends 4 seconds trying to eat it. 😅🐶

🍥 Gingerbread has been around since the 1200s
🍥 In the 1600s, only professional gingerbread bakers could make it
🍥 Dogs + Gingerbread = No, Thank You!
Many gingerbread recipes include nutmeg, cloves, and tons of sugar — all ingredients that can upset your pet’s tummy (or be toxic in larger amounts).

If your furry friend wants to join the fun, try building them a “Gingerbread House” made of dog biscuits and peanut butter instead!

This 11-year-old Havanese mix absolutely rocked her wellness visit — tail wags, polite manners, and not a single complaint (even during the awkward parts 😌).

And can we talk about her Christmas scarf for a second?! 🎁
She's looking like she just stepped off the North Pole runway — Santa’s real style icon. We’re pretty sure she’s on the VIP list for reindeer games AND hot cocoa cuddles. ❄️❤️

If you’ve ever walked past our treatment area and heard a killer playlist, that’s not the radio… that’s Shelby, DJ of the Dental Suite, keeping vibes high and teeth sparkling ✨

With her perfectly witchy aesthetic, calm energy, and zero fear of tartar, she is truly the enchanting force behind so many healthier smiles in our hospital. 🐶💫🐱

She jumps in wherever she’s needed, takes care of each patient like they’re her own, and somehow manages to look effortlessly cool doing it.

Today is the sweetest day of the year (literally), and while we won’t be handing out chocolate chip cookies to the pups—🍫🚫—we will be celebrating in spirit!

Here are some pet-friendly “cookie” facts to make your day extra tasty:

🐶 Dog Fact:
Dogs have about 1/6th the taste buds humans do, but they still act like the snack you’re eating is the greatest cookie ever baked. 🙃💛

🐱 Cat Fact:
Cats can’t taste sweetness at all… which means their judgmental glare when you eat cookies is completely unjustified. 😼✨

🐾 Fun Tip:
If you want to celebrate with your furry bestie, try making DIY pet-safe cookies with ingredients like pumpkin, peanut butter (xylitol-free!), or tuna treats for your fancy felines. They’ll think you're the Greatest Baker of All Time. 👩‍🍳🐶

🌟 ✨Employee Spotlight of the Week: BAILEY!✨ 🌟

If you’ve ever walked into the clinic and spotted a flash of bright pink hair zooming by — congratulations, you’ve witnessed the magic of Bailey, one of our amazing kennel technicians! 💕🎀

Bailey brings style, sparkle, and straight-up talent to our team. Seriously… this girl could be cleaning a kennel, caring for a patient, and still look like she’s about to step onto a runway.

But behind the aesthetic queen energy is one of the kindest, hardest-working people we know. Bailey is always the first to help, the last to complain, and the one who somehow makes even the busiest days feel lighter. She treats our patients like her own babies — gentle, loving, and with so much heart. 🐾💗

🎉 December Pet of the Month: GYPSY! ❄️🤍

Everyone stop what you’re doing and give a big, fluffy round of applause for Gypsy, our December Pet of the Month! 🎄✨

Gypsy is a gorgeous 9-year-old Great Pyrenees, and if you’ve ever had the joy of meeting her, you already know she floats into the clinic like a gentle snow cloud with paws. ❄️🐾 She’s sweet, patient, polite, and we’re pretty sure she sprinkles a little magic everywhere she goes.

And with a name like Gypsy, you know she travels through our halls spreading love, charm, and a whole lot of fluff. She’s the kind of girl who could wander into anyone’s heart—and trust us, she has wandered right into ours! 💛

We also have to give a huge shoutout to her incredible human mom, who loves her fiercely and takes the BEST care of her. Gypsy is lucky… but honestly, so are we!

Gypsy, thank you for being a cherished part of the Four Paws family. We adore you, sweet girl! 🐶💖
