GFWC is alarmed about the sexually explicit images available on social media! You can help victims of the posting of these images fight back against their perpetrators!

The Act will criminalize the publication of nonconsensual sexually explicit intimate images, whether actual or AI-generated, require social media and other websites to remove such images within 48 hours of receiving notice from the victim, and ensure the perpetrators are held accountable. The bill also provides law enforcement with the tools they need to crack down on privacy violations and provide victims with legal protection.

The Capitol District's Convention took place on April 2, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. Krisha Cook, a sexual assault forensic nurse with Brave Alliance, presented the program.

The attendees collected:
12 bears, 9 blankets, and 600 pairs of socks. Additionally, they collected 225 pairs of underwear for Killeen ISD Clothes Closet and 174 canned goods, plus peanut butter and jelly, for the local food pantry.

The funds collected, totaling $47, were divided among the three organizations.

Let's come together and demonstrate our Federation's heartfelt support for our beloved GFWC Texas Past State President Barbara Winingham by proudly wearing our GFWC pins and sitting together in unity on Friday/Saturday in Bowie, Texas.

The Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 4th at White Funeral Home in Bowie, Texas, from 6-8 p.m.

The Memorial Service is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, at the First Baptist Church of Bowie at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials may be sent in honor of Barbara to the Amity Club c/o Patti Poe, 7187 Rock Spring School Road, Nocona, TX 76255.

GFWC db Harbor City Juniorettes 2025 Valentine Project Inspires Compassion and Community. This year, the girls brightened the lives of Oakwood Village residents with care packages and extended their gratitude to Aransas Pass Fire and Police Departments with thoughtful snack baskets. By transforming empty Girl Scout cookie boxes into vibrant Valentine's Day gifts, the Juniorettes showcased their creativity and commitment to spreading joy.

Every February, the Juniorettes breathe new life into these boxes, filling them with essential items and heartfelt messages that bring warmth and connection to the elderly residents of Aransas Pass. Through personal deliveries and meaningful interactions, the Juniorettes foster a sense of belonging and kindness that transcends the gifts themselves. Since 2020, the GFWC db Harbor City Juniorettes have proudly upheld this tradition, igniting a ripple effect of compassion and empathy that will continue to inspire positive change for years to come.
