📍Austin, TX - Welcome to Love-A-Bull, Kiki!
A local shelter was pleading for someone to save Lola (now Kiki). They were completely out of space with more dogs coming in every day. A foster came forward but could only keep her for a few days to try to extend her life. When they brought her back to the shelter yesterday, she was back on the euthanasia list with a deadline of 5pm.
When we realized she was at risk again, it was 4:43pm. We called the shelter immediately and they moved mountains to keep her alive until we could pick her up at 8am this morning! We are so grateful to their truly dedicated staff that were overjoyed to see her saved!
And now Kiki is safe forever! In the past 24 hours she’s been 17 minutes from death, picked up by a stranger, taken to the vet (where she was a wiggly champ) and is now headed to her foster home!

🍞Canela was rescued from a rural shelter not realizing she was carrying a precious secret. Her gentle eyes hid the fact that she was pregnant, and we were touched by her strength and resilience. What we thought would be 5-7 puppies, turned into 8. It has been a learning journey for many of our volunteers and we wouldn’t trade these sweet cinnamon treats for anything!
🥨We are now accepting adoption applications but the puppies will not be able to go to their forever homes for a few more weeks. Canela however is ready for her forever family now. Please fill out an adoption application on our website. They will also be at our two upcoming events, Puppies and Pilates and Doggy Yoga!

📍 Austin, TX - Busters dad was arrested one year ago and was awaiting trial. His landlord agreed to keep Buster on the property until he knew the outcome of that trial. But he was recently sentenced to 13 years in prison. He gave a list of people that may take Buster, but they all said no.
So there he sat. In his 15 foot circle. Waiting for help. Hoping for a better future.
He was attacked by another dog, suffering through summer heat, etc. We knew he needed a second chance! As soon as we met him, we knew he was a love bug!
He loves his foster dog sister, toys, and cuddles! Even with all he’s been through, he’s genuinely so happy just to have a future! He even walks great on leash and does great in his crate 💕
He’s already been neutered ✂️ and wears his donut cone (seriously, it’s a sprinkled donut design) with ease, smooshing his face on it during naps.

Posh (left/tan) is a sweet 2-year-old girl weighing in at 64 lbs. Becks (right/blue) is a handsome 3-year-old boy, 70 lbs of pure love. 💕
🤧These two were running the streets together and picked up by Animal Control. When they were picked up, Posh was actually pregnant and gave birth to one puppy in the shelter. The puppy was healthy and adopted. Their owner didn’t want them back, considering them “useless” after being spayed and neutered. They’d been at the shelter for 8 months and, despite being volunteer and staff favorites, were up for euthanasia because of space. Thanks to your support, they’re now safe and looking forward to finding their forever families! They can be split up, but would love future play dates!

Bandit is a cheerful 1 year old who loves his toys, playing with other dogs and walks on his leash. You can’t help but smile when you look at him and his silly personality.🌞
👮♀️He was found by a sheriff’s deputy who was patrolling down a country road and saw this gorgeous boy sitting patiently in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunately, after arriving at the shelter, time was running out and he found himself on the euthanasia list due to kennel space. That’s when Love-A-Bull rescued him!

❤️Last Sunday Ravioli got to go to our Pedal for Pitties Event! He asked everyone who came for pets on the head and kisses before they jumped on their bike! After a morning of entertainment, he was pooped and fell asleep on the way home snuggled up to one of our volunteers!
🐶Ravioli is currently in foster with 2 other dogs and loves cuddling with them (swipe to the 3rd photo🥹). His foster says he’s a very easy going and is already potty trained. He does not jump on furniture uninvited!

✨ Canela’s puppies are two weeks old! ✨
A few weeks ago, we rescued Canela from the kill list at a local rural Texas shelter.
Our vet opened her up to spay and found almost fully grown puppies due in a little more than 1 week!
A foster stepped up and a team of 20 volunteers came together to commit to supply runs, potty breaks, clean up, medical coordination, etc. We’ve all been figuring it out as we go!
On 5/13, her foster heard a tiny puppy sound and ran in to find the first puppy born! Canela gave birth to 6 more about every hour following…then surprised everyone with an 8th about 2-3 hours later!

Our vet opened her up to spay and found almost fully grown puppies due in a little more than 1 week! A foster stepped up and a team of 20 volunteers came together to commit to supply runs, potty breaks, clean up, medical coordination, etc. We’ve all been figuring it out as we go! On 5/13, her foster heard a tiny puppy sound and ran in to find the first puppy born! Canela gave birth to 6 more about every hour following…then surprised everyone with an 8th about 2-3 hours later! If you have been following us for little bit you know Hermey. If you are new here, Hermey was rescued from a rural shelter where he needed some extra attention for his wobbles. After arriving to our rescue he experienced some seizures. We were able to get him to a specialist and have been able to rule out a few diseases and get him on some medication that has incredibly approved his wobbles and movement. 🌻We believe that by sharing Hermey's story we can reach a potential adopter! Milo’s (fka Titus) Recovery Journey: Update 2💕 Last Thursday, we saw a sweet, severely injured dog on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. Because of your support, we were able to move mountains together and save him the next day! Since then: ✨ He’s in a loving foster home that welcomed him with doggie cake and cuddles ✨ He saw our vet and ✨ Had surgery on his eye to open it up to drain fluids & examine the cause of infection (foreign body, etc) ✨ Had surgery to remove a front canine tooth that had the root exposed, but there wasn’t enough gum tissue to cover so he has stitches in his mouth for 2 weeks ✨ had extensive gum trauma damage which should heal with time ✨ got x-rays of his head for closer look at trauma he suffered (awaiting results) ✨ had a mass on his face drained ✨ had the big wounds all over his body cleaned and examined ✨ took cultures of the fluid he’s been coughing/hacking up (awaiting results) ✨ lots of other wellness things! 💕 Now, we wait on his x-ray results, his culture results, monitor some masses for growth or decrease in size/swelling, and keep a strict medication schedule with only soft foods until his stitches come out! 💕 ⭐️ Follow us for update 3 on his results and personality starting to show ⭐️ He’s now back at his foster home recovering, where his foster Mom is making sure his food is extra soft, his drool is wiped, and cheering him up by showing him all of the amazing things you’ve been sending him from his wishlist!
