Hands to Paws Rescue

Hands to Paws Rescue Located in Augusta, Georgia. We are a grassroots organization that begin with incorporation in 2015. We have NO PHYSICAL FACILITY as we are a foster home rescue!

Hands to Paws Rescue provides education, direct care and cooperative efforts for those in need of access to rescue, fostering and adoption of animals in the CSRA. Organized initially by Kathryn Ellis with friends and family that were concerned about the animal situation in the CSRA. The group received initial Non-profit status in September 2016 and have been GA Dept of Agriculture licensed since 2

016. To this day the rescue continues to be an All-volunteer, non-paid Board of Directors. All activities are volunteer-based and the rescue is an All-donation (or grant) based funding rescue! They currently have some wonderful kittens available for adoption, and even more are expected to arrive tomorrow. These kittens are already fully vetted, which means they've received age-appropriate vaccinations, been spayed or neutered when eligible, microchipped, and are ready to start their next chapter with a loving family.

Every adoption creates space and resources to help the next animal in need. Whether you're looking for a playful sidekick, a cuddle buddy, or a companion to keep you entertained, there's a kitten waiting to meet you.

Stop by, take a look, and you just might find your new family member. ❤️🐱

🚨 FOSTERS URGENTLY NEEDED 🚨

We have two very special foster opportunities available right now!

🐾 A sweet mama cat and her SIX kittens need a foster home where mom can safely raise her babies until they're old enough for adoption.

🌎 Two of our newest Honduran kittens have officially arrived and are looking for a foster family to help them settle into life in the United States. These little travelers have come a long way for a chance at the happy ending they deserve.

Fostering saves lives. We provide medical care, supplies, and support—you provide the love, safety, and temporary home.

Every foster home opens a space for us to help another animal in need. Right now, these cats are counting on us.

Interested in fostering? Send us a message or apply at hands2paws.org.

Can't foster? Please share! The perfect foster may be one share away. ❤️🐾

🌴🐱 ¡Hola amigos!

Meet Sincere! ❤️

This tiny Honduran kitten just got his boarding pass punched and is headed stateside! ✈️🇭🇳➡️🇺🇸

No luggage. No carry-on. Just big dreams and a whole lot of purr-sonality. 😸

Sincere is leaving island life behind and beginning a brand-new adventure with Hands to Paws Rescue. Soon he'll be settling in, making new friends, and starting the search for the forever family he's been waiting for.

It takes an amazing network of rescuers, fosters, flight angels, and supporters to make journeys like this possible. Every mile brings Sincere one step closer to a life filled with love, safety, and endless treats. 🐾❤️

¡Buen viaje, Sincere! Safe travels, little one. We can't wait to welcome you and help you find your happily ever after.

Fosters needed!

Update: we think we have it covered as so many of our amazing supporters are offering to help!! You have no idea how much your support means to us right now.

🚨 We Need Help. Right Now. 🚨

Some days in rescue are harder than others.
Today is one of those days.
Due to a statewide lockdown at the prison where our Pups in the Pen program is located, all of our dogs must be removed from the facility until the lockdown is lifted.
As you can imagine, this has left us scrambling.
The dogs don't understand why their routine has suddenly changed. The handlers don't understand why they have to say goodbye to the dogs they care for every day. And our team is desperately trying to find safe places for everyone to land.
Right now, we have managed to secure foster placements for all but two dogs.
Finn needs a foster home.
We also have a female French Bulldog who needs a foster home.

Time is not on our side, and we simply don't have enough open foster homes available.
For the men in this program, these aren't just dogs.
They are companions. They are purpose. They are the reason some men get out of bed on difficult days. They are a reminder that trust can be rebuilt, that second chances exist, and that love can still find you in unexpected places.
Tonight there are handlers wondering where "their" dogs will sleep. Dogs who won't understand why the people they trust aren't there. And a rescue team desperately trying to make sure nobody falls through the cracks.
This situation is beyond anyone's control.
But what happens next is not.
Somewhere out there are two homes with an empty dog bed, an empty spot on the couch, or a family willing to open their heart for a little while.
Maybe that home is yours.
If you have ever considered fostering, please reach out today. We will provide guidance and support every step of the way.
Because tonight, two dogs are still waiting for a place to go.
And if there's one thing we've learned through this rescue journey, it's that hope often arrives in the form of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
Please help us bring Finn and his Frenchie friend safely home.

"In a world where you can be anything, be the reason someone still believes in second chances." ❤️🐾

Up Fur Adoption: Raven is a 3.5 year old Labrador/staffy mix, and she is approximately 45 lbs. Raven was found as a stray and not claimed. When found she was severely emaciated. Despite her condition, she was sweet and wanted to give her foster lots of kisses.
She is good with other dogs, but not sure about cats. When she has been on a leash she has done well. Raven has taken a couple car rides and has not gotten car sick at all. She loves toys, treats, and playing in her pool. Raven is sweet as can be, but still has that puppy attention span. She knows “sit”, working on “down” and “off”. Raven comes fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped.
