Placer SPCA The Placer SPCA is the largest and most comprehensive animal welfare provider in Placer County. To learn more, visit www.placerspca.org.

We operate in three centers across our area, and house up to 4,000 homeless and abandoned animals each year. The Placer SPCA Pet Adoption & Resource Center is located in Auburn, and is one of three adoption centers of the Placer SPCA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of companion animals and supporting the human-animal bond.

We have a joyful update on Apple Day!

He’s now known as Sullivan, or “Sully” for short, and he’s brought endless happiness to his new home. His adopter shares that he’s not only a delight to have around but has also brought smiles to friends and family. Thank you for giving this little guy a loving forever home!

💙 Our Pet Food Assistance Program helps provide pet food to families who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties. The program helps ensure that every pet gets the nutrition they need, and more importantly, stay with the families that love them.

💙 Our foster program helps support young and recovering animals as they grow or recuperate from medical treatments. Your support helps ensure that these animals get the individual attention and support they need to prepare them for their forever homes!

We have an exciting update on Casper!
Casper, now known as The Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanov (though her humans mostly call her Anya) is loving life in her new home! This sweet girl still has her playful, mischievous moments, keeping her loving owners on their toes. She enjoys the company of her dog sibling, Obi too! Together, they’ve become a wonderful pair, filling their home with love, laughter, and a few adorable shenanigans. Anya has truly found her place, and her family can’t imagine life without her.

Walk for a cause at Wag & Walk, a community dog-friendly 5k or 2.5k featuring:

Your walk supports animals like Mamala, a pregnant Chihuahua who came to Placer SPCA in crisis. Thanks to community support, she got the emergency surgery she needed and now she and her pups are thriving. 🐾❤️

A BIG thank you to Dr. Bev Myers for making all of our sweet treats, National Charity League, Inc., South Placer County Chapter for donating raffle baskets and serving desserts, and boys team charity, Granite Bay League for facilitating the games and helping with cleanup at the end of the night during for our Volunteer Appreciation Celebration.
