🚨 Travel Fee Update – Auburn Equine

Starting Wednesday March 26th, 2026

Due to the recent increase in diesel fuel costs and the new gas tax, we will be implementing a temporary fuel surcharge on travel fees.

💲 Fuel Surcharge Rates:
• Within 30 minutes: $10
• Over 30 minutes: $15

⛽ This surcharge will be removed once diesel prices drop below $6.00/gallon.

🚨 EHV-1 UPDATE: What Horse Owners Need to Know 🚨

As many of you have heard, there have been confirmed cases of EHV-1/EHM (neurologic) in Texas and Oklahoma, all linked to a recent barrel racing event in Waco, Texas. Additional cases have also been reported in Canada and Maryland

⭐️ GOOD NEWS⭐️
There have been NO reported cases in California to date.

However, we strongly encourage all horse owners to limit non-essential travel or hauling until this outbreak settles. Keeping your horses close to home is one of the best ways to reduce risk.

If you believe your horse may have been exposed:
👉 Immediately quarantine the affected horse away from others.
👉 Contact your veterinarian as soon as possible for guidance.
